Autotoll ETC or VGoPAY users for tunnel and HZMB toll payments should switch to other auto-payment means early
The Transport Department (TD) today (February 23) reminded members of the public that Autotoll Limited has previously announced that it will terminate the Autotoll's Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and VGoPAY e-wallets with effect from March 16, after which Autotoll ETC and VGoPAY can no longer be used for tunnel tolls and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) toll payments. To facilitate an orderly termination of the relevant services, the above stored value facilities have also ceased their account top-up services starting today.
The TD again urged current Autotoll ETC or VGoPAY users for tunnel toll payments to switch to other auto-payment means via the HKeToll website (www.hketoll.gov.hk) or mobile app as soon as possible. Autotoll ETC users for HZMB toll payments should apply for the Unitoll service early through its website (www.96533.com), other local partner banks or the Unitoll customer service centres to continue to enjoy the convenience of auto-payment.
Since mid-December 2025, Autotoll Limited has notified users of the termination arrangements for Autotoll ETC and VGoPAY services via SMS, email and website (www.autotoll.com.hk/autotollclub/). In addition, the TD has instructed the HKeToll toll service provider to proactively remind Autotoll ETC and VGoPAY users in switching to other auto-payment means promptly to avoid disruption. Members of the public concerned will receive SMS messages sent by "#HKeToll" or emails from "do-not-reply1@hketoll.gov.hk" with steps on setting up auto-payment by linking a bank account or credit card, or direct debit from a Designated Stored Value Account (see details in Annexes) to pay tunnel tolls.
Members of the public may call the HKeToll 24-hour customer service hotline at 3853 7333 for enquiries about setting up auto-payment means for HKeToll; or call Autotoll's customer service hotline at 2627 8888 regarding the HZMB toll payments using Unitoll, as well as arrangements for cancelling Autotoll ETC or VGoPay accounts or applying for refunds of account balances.
