The international standard "Use cases for green logistics activities" that China took the lead to formulate has been officially released recently, including 26 cases originated from China.

The standard covers multiple logistics scenarios including transportation, storage, loading and unloading, handling, packaging, distribution processing, delivery, and information management, guided by principles of resource intensive utilization, low-carbon emissions, resource recycling, environmental protection and occupational health.

The standard, including 83 cases from across 15 countries, outlines green development objectives, core sustainable factors, and key technical and management approaches of each case, while providing standardized recommendations.

It serves as a practical reference for all kinds of organizations to understand, implement and promote green logistics activities.

China's cases include promoting and applying the technology of transporting coil steel goods in platform containers in enterprises of industries such as railways, ports, steel and paper making; and promoting distributed photovoltaic power generation by making use of warehouse rooftops.
