Iran highly appreciates and endorses China's four-point proposal to promote peace and stability in the Middle East, and commends China for its stance, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday.

Araghchi made the statement during talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing.

"China always stands on the right side of history in its relations with Iran. We highly appreciate China's position. We are aware of the four-point proposal put forward by the honorable President Xi. We believe the four principles he proposed are entirely correct. Based on these principles, it is possible to achieve peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region. We have always believed, and even more now, that China can play a constructive role in this regard," said Araghchi.

During a meeting in Beijing on April 14 with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward the four-point proposal, namely adherence to the principles of peaceful coexistence, national sovereignty, international rule of law, and a balanced approach to development and security.

The Tianzhou-9 cargo craft, tasked with carrying supplies for China's space station, undocked from the station combination at 16:34 Wednesday (Beijing Time) and switched to independent flight, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

The cargo craft will re-enter the atmosphere in a controlled manner at an appropriate time. During the process, a small amount of debris that survives the ablation will fall into the designated safe waters, the CMSA said.

Tianzhou-9 was launched on July 15, 2025 from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the southern island province of Hainan, and then docked with the orbiting Tiangong space station. It carried supplies including astronaut consumables for in-orbit stay, propellant and application experiment equipment.
