The BRICS foreign ministers' meeting, themed "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability," kicked off on Thursday in New Delhi, India.
The two-day meeting reflects a strong commitment to strengthening multilateralism and advancing inclusive development.
India officially assumed the BRICS chairmanship from Brazil on Jan 1, 2026.
Under the chairmanship, India "will work together to strengthen multilateralism, promote sustainable development, enhance economic resilience and build a more inclusive world order," Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
