Ruffs, a migratory bird known for its dramatic seasonal transformation in appearance, have been recorded at Nandagang Wetland in north China's Hebei Province for the first time.
During breeding season, ruffs display orange faces and legs, along with colorful head and neck feathers that vary from one bird to another -- from black and white to multicolored patterns.
The sighting brings the wetland's bird list to 274 species.
