The Ministry of Commerce will run more than 100 Export to China events this year, facilitating foreign companies to promote their products to the Chinese market, spokeswoman He Yongqian said at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.
"On June 7 and June 11, we will hold special overseas sessions of Export to China event separately in Belarus and Germany. The event in Belarus will mark the first overseas edition of the event, while the Germany session will be its first edition held in a European Union member state. We sincerely invite companies of all countries to actively participate in the Export to China series of events, to continue attending the China International Import Expo and other major exhibitions in China, and to use the platforms and channels established by China to expand exports to the Chinese market and achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes," said He.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday said China will take part in the selection of the next United Nations (UN) secretary-general in a responsible and constructive manner while meeting with Michelle Bachelet, candidate for the next UN secretary-general and former Chilean president in Beijing.
Bachelet pointed to the UN as the indispensable platform for the international community to respond jointly to global challenges, saying the UN should uphold the authority of the Charter, remain action-oriented and take coordinated steps to advance the three pillars of peace, development and human rights.
