China on Tuesday successfully launched a Zhuque-2E Y6 (ZQ-2E Y6) carrier rocket into space from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China.

The carrier rocket blasted off at 16:23 (Beijing Time), successfully carrying the Qianfan DTC-01 satellite and China Mobile-02 satellite into their designated orbit.

The launch mission was declared a complete success after the satellites entered their planned trajectory as scheduled.

This flight was the eighth mission conducted by the ZQ-2 series of carrier rockets.

ZQ-2E is a modified version of Chinese aerospace company LandSpace's self-developed ZQ-2 carrier rocket, which is the world's first liquid oxygen-methane rocket to enter into orbit, marking a milestone in the use of new low-cost liquid propellant for China's launch vehicles.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) lowered its forecast for global oil demand growth this year for the second month in a row, citing the prospects for weakening demand in non-OECD economies.

In its monthly oil market report released on Thursday, the Vienna-based oil group projected that global oil demand in 2026 will rise by 970,000 barrels per day from 2025 levels, down from the 1.17 million-barrel growth forecast in its May report and the 1.38 million forecast in April.

The downward revision, according to the report, was driven primarily by reduced demand expectations from non-OECD countries.
