The total railway passenger volume is expected to reach 49.45 million trips, with an average of about 16.5 million trips per day, marking a 2.97 percent year-on-year increase.
The total road passenger volume is expected to reach about 594.9 million trips, with an average of over 198 million trips per day.
The total waterway passenger volume is expected to reach 2.76 million trips, with an average of 921,000 trips per day, a 1.16 percent year-on-year decrease.
The total civil aviation passenger volume is expected to reach about 5.68 million trips, with an average of 1.89 million trips per day, marking a 0.60 percent year-on-year increase.
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival, is celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. This year, the festival fell on June 19, with the three-day holiday running through June 21.
