Greg joins Ionic MT with a distinguished background in organizational leadership, strategic management, and international negotiations. With extensive experience at the U.S. Department of State, Greg has a proven record of building organizations and driving strategic growth. During assignments throughout Africa and Europe, he managed complex portfolios involving foreign governments, the United Nations, and U.S. interagency partners, while leading and expanding multinational teams to meet evolving mission requirements.

Known for exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills, Greg has delivered results in high-stakes environments, including mediating disputes among coalition partners. His ability to align diverse stakeholders and navigate complex policy and regulatory environments positions him to support Ionic MT’s near- and long-term expansion both domestically and internationally.

In his role as Chief of Staff, Greg will report directly to Founder and Chief Executive Officer Andre Zeitoun and will help coordinate cross-functional execution across operations, strategic partnerships, and government relations. Greg will also oversee Ionic MT’s government relations function, coordinating the Company’s engagement with federal and state stakeholders as its public-sector engagement deepens.

Greg will leverage his expertise to assist operational scale-up, support government contracting efforts, and strengthen commercial and public-sector partnerships. He will also strengthen the Company’s risk-management and due-diligence practices — ensuring that Ionic MT’s partnerships, counterparties, and supply chains are properly evaluated — as the Company’s operational and government footprint expands.

“Greg is joining Ionic MT at an important moment in the Company’s evolution,” said Andre Zeitoun, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ionic MT. “As we scale the business, establish our government relations function, and execute against a growing set of strategic priorities, we need leaders who can bring discipline, coordination, and credibility across multiple fronts. Greg’s background in diplomacy, stakeholder management, and high-stakes execution makes him exceptionally well-suited to help us build the next chapter of Ionic MT.”

“The work Ionic MT is doing sits at the intersection of critical minerals, advanced materials, and American industrial sovereignty,” said Greg Schroeder. “I look forward to working with Andre and the team to strengthen operations, support strategic partnerships, and help advance the Company’s mission in the United States and internationally.”
