The death toll from the recent devastating earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 4,490, National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez said on Sunday.
Another 16,740 people were injured in the disaster, Rodriguez said in a social media update.
A total of 120,794 households have received relief assistance so far, according to Rodriguez.
Since the magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 earthquakes struck within seconds of each other on June 24, Venezuela has recorded 1,222 aftershocks, the latest update shows.

Iran on Sunday said it launched strikes against U.S. military bases in the Middle East and resulted in facilities damages and personal casualties, while the U.S. denied the reports.
Iranian media reported three U.S. soldiers were killed following the drone attacks conducted by Iran on U.S. military targets in Kuwait.
The U.S. Central Command, however, denied the reports, saying that "there are zero reports of U.S. service member deaths or injuries in the region. All personnel are accounted for" in a post on its social media account.
On Sunday, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted U.S. bases in Jordan in retaliation for U.S. attacks against southern Iranian provinces earlier in the day.
The IRGC said its forces hit "important" U.S. infrastructure and facilities at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, destroying the base's command and control center and the hangar for MQ-9 Reaper drones.
A U.S. military official, cited by U.S. media outlets, denied damage in Jordan. The U.S. official said there were "no injuries to American forces" and that the "the overwhelming majority of Iranian missiles and drones launched were intercepted or shot down," adding that there was no significant damage to U.S. locations.
The incidents came as the United States carried out a fresh round of strikes on Iranian military targets on Sunday, while Iran retaliated against U.S. bases and facilities across the Gulf, marking a sharp escalation despite a memorandum of understanding signed in June.
