China's top political advisor Wang Huning met a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Le Minh Tri, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPV Central Committee, in Beijing on Tuesday.
Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said that General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping and General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam have maintained close strategic communication.
Wang noted that To Lam paid a successful visit to China in April, during which he reached new important consensus with Xi, providing strategic guidance for the development of relations between the two parties and two countries as well as the cause of world socialism.
China is ready to work with Vietnam to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries and deliver more progress in building the China-Vietnam community with a shared future, Wang said, adding that the CPPCC National Committee stands ready to make positive contributions to this end.
Le Minh Tri, also chairman of the Commission for Internal Affairs of the CPV Central Committee, congratulated the CPC on its 105th founding anniversary, saying that Vietnam admires the series of global initiatives proposed by Xi, and his leadership in guiding China to continuous progress.
Vietnam is willing to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, draw on the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and jointly build a Vietnam-China community with a shared future, Le Minh Tri said.
