The upcoming 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo will center on the theme of "token" for professional exhibitions and industry matchmaking, a senior data official said Tuesday.
The expo is held from Tuesday to Thursday in Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou Province.
The expo will feature five major thematic sections including computing power infrastructure, data supply, model-driven development, security protection and smart experience. The expo will cover 60,000 square meters and bring together over 300 exhibitors to showcase the latest explorations in the development of the "token economy."
The event will also create China's first "AI large model marketplace" designed to serve "one-person companies" and other science and innovation entities.
In addition, a number of cutting-edge achievements will be unveiled at the expo, said the official.
"The National Data Administration will release over 20 important achievements including institutional regulations, industry standards and practical cases. Multiple leading enterprises and industry associations will also unveil their more than 40 latest achievements in areas such as the coordinated development of computing power and electricity, data circulation and generative artificial intelligence," said Yu Ying, deputy director of the National Data Administration (NDA).
As the world's first expo themed on big data, the event has become a bellwether for global digital economy development and a key platform for exchanging industrial achievements since its inception in 2015.
The 2026 expo will be hosted by the NDA and organized by the Guizhou Provincial People's Government.
To date, Guiyang has gathered 27 large and super-large computing centers, with total computing power exceeding 165 Eflops.
Intelligent computing accounts for over 98 percent of the total, with a localization rate reaching 90 percent, making it one of the regions with the most abundant and capable localized computing resources in China.
