Lighthearted footage captured panda nursery in southwest China shows a panda cub pretending to trip and fall over a large pole of bamboo in front of its mother.
In the clip, the cub tumbles theatrically over the pole, which the mother is snacking on. The young bear's slow-motion toppling act failed to fool the adult panda, but created a humorous and endearing scene nonetheless.
The video was captured at the Star Giant Panda Nursery House at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The Chengdu base is a world-renowned facility for ex-situ conservation, scientific research and breeding, public education and eco-tourism. It is globally recognized for protecting and breeding endangered Chinese wildlife species such as giant pandas and red pandas.
