China and Thailand will hold a joint air force exercise "Falcon Strike-2026" in Thailand in August, a Chinese defense spokesperson announced Thursday.

Jiang Bin, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, said at a regular press conference that China will send multiple types of aircraft and units to the exercise.

A task group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy will visit Indonesia in early August, a Chinese defense spokesperson said on Thursday.

"At the invitation of the Indonesian Navy, a task group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, comprising vessels Qijiguang and Kunlunshan, will arrive in Surabaya, Indonesia, in early August for a goodwill visit.
