From Shrimp Wonton Noodles to Typhoon Shelter Crab: Taste of Hong Kong Lights Up the Night Sky

A spectacular drone light show transformed the New Hung Hom Harbourfront into a dazzling visual feast on August 7 and 8, as a host of iconic Hong Kong delicacies lit up the night sky over Victoria Harbour.

The dazzling spectacle saw a mouthwatering parade of iconic Hong Kong food: shrimp wonton noodles, iced lemon tea, typhoon shelter crab, golden roast goose, fish balls, and pineapple buns, each dish recreated mid‑air with pinpoint precision.

Numerous spectators watched as these “flying” delicacies glided across the harbour, proving that in Hong Kong, the sky is just another table, and it’s always set for a feast.

On the evening of Valentine's Day, a large-scale drone show was presented at the Wan Chai Waterfront Promenade to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, attracting many residents and tourists to watch and take photos.

The drone show, themed "Galloping Horses Welcoming Spring, Bauhinia Celebrating the Chinese New Year," featured 2,026 drones displaying galloping horses, fireworks, lanterns, and other images featuring Chinese New Year elements. The night sky over Victoria Harbour was illuminated with images of spirited horses and local landmarks, including the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Lion Rock, the Victoria Harbour Skyscrapers, and Golden Bauhinia Square. Coupled with auspicious phrases such as "Ten Thousand Horses Galloping", "Happy Year of the Horse" and "May Hong Kong Be Prosperous and Flourishing", etc., the show symbolized Hong Kong's leading position and rapid progress in the upcoming Year of the Horse, wishing the city prosperity, stability, and a peaceful and happy life for the residents.
