China is set to launch the first international commercial route operated by its homegrown C919 aircraft on Wednesday, connecting Beijing with Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, according to Air China.

The service will take the large passenger jet beyond the domestic network where it has accumulated most of its commercial experience since entering service in 2023. The aircraft previously appeared overseas at air shows and conducted demonstration flights.

As of Monday, C919 had served 57 routes linking 25 cities and had handled more than 7.5 million passenger trips, official data showed.

Iran is expected to bring back 95 million cubic meters of daily gas production capacity by the end of September, with the repair of its gas production facilities well underway, according to the country's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad on Tuesday.

The official noted that the reconstruction of four energy infrastructures damaged during U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran is in full swing. It is anticipated to be finished ahead of schedule, and the production capacity will recover to the pre-war level.

It is reported that since the United States launched military operations against Iran on Feb 28, Iran's natural gas output has decreased by about 230 million cubic meters per day.
