Russia said on Monday that its forces had attacked Ukrainian military targets at the port of Odessa, while Ukraine claimed to have hit a Russian factory in Rostov Oblast.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report that in the past 24 hours, Russian forces gained control of two settlements in the Donetsk region and Zaporizhzhia region. The Russian military targeted Ukrainian infrastructure, unmanned vehicle assembly workshops, storage facilities, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries. Russian forces also used attack drones to strike Ukrainian patrol boats and several oil tanks in the port of Odessa, the ministry said.
The report added that Russian air defense systems have shot down 12 guided air bombs, two U.S.-made HIMARS rockets, and 797 fixed-wing drones during the period.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian forces have attacked 12 Russian personnel concentration areas, destroying 2,093 drones, as well as tanks, armored vehicles and artillery systems.
In a significant strike overnight on Sunday, Ukrainian forces targeted a Russian plant in Rostov Oblast. Two production workshops for explosives and gunpowder inside the factory were completely destroyed, and four other workshops suffered damage of varying degrees.
The facility is identified as a key Russian military-industrial enterprise, specializing in solid rocket fuel production.
