2026 World Robot Conference debuts 311 new products in Beijing

A total of 311 new products made their debut at the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing, showcasing application solutions for transportation, logistics, healthcare, emergency rescue and many other fields.

The 2026 WRC, which runs from Wednesday through Sunday, has drawn more than 300 exhibitors from 26 countries, with over 3,000 products on display.

The event brings together AI algorithm developers, 3D-vision and battery suppliers, robot makers and end-users to facilitate cooperation and shorten research and development and iteration cycles.

Among the headline debuts is a robot mobile mother ship, essentially a moving logistics base for robots. The vehicle's cabin can carry humanoid robots, robotic dogs and drones, while onboard battery-swapping and maintenance stations allow it to provide computing power and communication support for robots even in extreme environments with no network or electricity.

The mother ship is designed to shift robots from solo operations to coordinated fleet missions. Zheng Gang, chairman of Fittbus Technology, said the vehicle is to enter mass production soon.

"The newly unveiled mother ship is scheduled to enter mass production by the end of this year and is expected to be commercially deployed by June next year, initially serving aviation rescue, emergency firefighting and medical rescue." he said.

As robots grow more capable, unifying command across machines from different manufacturers has turned into a critical obstacle. At this year's conference, addressing that issue has become a focal point for many enterprises.

At the event, SIASUN unveiled OneHub, a multi-robot coordination system powered by large language models.

"We released the multi-robot coordination system OneHub. It can coordinate different kinds of robots. We can see that three robots of two different types can work together under one system using large model technology," said Han Tianwen, director of the SIASUN Artificial Intelligence Research Institute.

Translating large models into physical action requires massive amounts of real-world data.

A startup founded just last year, Shenzhen-based Ensuring Tech, presented a multi-dimensional tactile motion-capture glove alongside large-area electronic skin capable of sensing approaching objects.

"The multi-dimensional tactile motion-capture glove we unveil this time can sense not only normal force and tangential force, but also the direction of highly dense forces. Its modular design reconstructs a skeletal model identical to a human hand, collecting more precise contact data rather than forcing a fixed skeleton onto every user," said Hou Ningzhe, founder and CEO of Ensuring Tech.

The USS George Washington carrier strike group has arrived in the Middle East and begun its deployment, the U.S. Central Command said Thursday, as the USS Abraham Lincoln concluded its nine-month mission and departed for its home port in California.

The Washington entered the Central Command's area of responsibility on Aug. 19 and is now operating in the region as scheduled, according to a social media post by the command.

The Lincoln had been deployed to the Middle East since January 2026 to take part in U.S. military operations and a naval blockade against Iran, according to U.S. media reports. It has been at sea for more than 250 days, with sailors facing difficult living conditions and mental health issues due to the high-intensity operational tempo and extended deployment.

The Lincoln is now on its way back to its home port in San Diego, California, with the voyage expected to take approximately four to five weeks, The New York Times reported.
