BEIJING, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 23, the Singapore Tourism Board and Mafengwo, [China's largest travel community], joined forces once again to launch the "Singapore AI Inspiration Lab – Lion City Adventure • More Fun, More You" immersive pop-up event in Beijing.

At the event, Ms. Du Linghui, China North Regional Director of the Singapore Tourism Board, and He Shaohua, Vice President of Mafengwo, officially inaugurated the "Lab", marking a new phase in their collaboration in AI-powered smart travel.

This is another AI‑centric offline creative initiative following the two parties' strategic partnership in 2024 and the debut of Mafengwo's AI travel assistant. The event continues the Singapore Tourism Board's 2025 marketing theme for the Chinese market, "Singapore, It's All About Fun", and the 2026 focus on "New Workforce Entrants" with the promotional theme "Go, Singapore – It's All About Fun", aiming to break young people's stereotypes of Singapore travel and deliver an experience full of surprises and beyond expectations.

The "Singapore AI Inspiration Lab" leverages AI‑powered planning tools to help younger travellers explore the Lion City in a lighter, more personalised way – no longer limited to classic landmarks, but delving into neighbourhoods, night markets, design boutiques, and hidden natural spots to effortlessly discover their own off‑the‑beaten‑path experiences. The event brings the city's diverse charm and AI‑enhanced smart travel right to Beijing residents.

At the event, three Mafengwo travel influencers shared their perspectives on the multifaceted allure of Singapore travel.

"Yuandawang Jiushi Wo", who loves city walks and uncovering new urban trends, said that with AI smart planning, it is easy to uncover niche routes in Singapore – from street art to night culture – revealing a cityscape full of trendy texture and making every urban exploration a delightful surprise.

Family travel influencer "Guo Xiaoyan" shared a 4‑day‑3‑night family itinerary for Singapore. She noted that Singapore offers rich family‑friendly experiences, comprehensive facilities, and safe, convenient travel. From theme parks to natural ecosystems, AI tools can customise itineraries based on children's ages and interests, making family trips more relaxing and efficient.

"Luo Gaga GAGA", who took her mother on a slow tour of Singapore, showcased a new way of "senior travel" – unhurried, effortless, and utterly relaxed. She said that AI smart planning can tailor a gentle, high‑quality itinerary for older travellers, ensuring the Lion City trip is both comfortable and stylish.

At present, artificial intelligence and immersive technologies are profoundly reshaping the underlying logic of the global tourism industry. At the same time, immersive experiences are evolving from early "showmanship" to true "empathy", and the personalised needs of niche groups are gaining increasing attention. Singapore has recently added a series of major tourism offerings – Asia's first adventure‑themed Mandai "Rainforest Wild Asia" (opened March 2025), Asia's first Disney cruise ship "Disney Adventure" (home‑porting in Singapore from March 2026), and the Southeast Asian debut of Pop Mart's POP BAKERY (landing at Resorts World Sentosa in July 2025) – providing more "on‑point" choices for different traveller segments. Against this backdrop, the immersive pop‑up event centres on the theme "More Fun, More You", exploring how AI is changing Singapore travel, and focusing on the interests of three core groups – trend‑seeking youth, families, and seniors – to create an inspiring Singapore experience that is participatory, collectible, and shareable.

To that end, the event featured several interactive zones: a traveller personality test area, a Lion City‑themed graffiti wall, a Nanyang‑style photo studio, an AI travel assistant demo area, an AI embodied‑intelligence interactive zone, and a Singapore co‑branded marketplace. In addition, there was a popular cute pin‑button craft experience beloved by young visitors. Visitors of all ages could immerse themselves in discovering their own Singapore travel inspiration without leaving Beijing, and could also collect stamps for exclusive souvenirs and gifts.

Among these, the Nanyang‑style photo studio was specially opened for senior travellers, featuring a light shoot setup with Nanyang colour elements woven into the space, creating a refined, relaxed, and resort‑like atmosphere perfect for photo‑taking.

In the AI demo area, large high‑definition screens showcased the complete workflow of Mafengwo's AI travel assistant in real time – allowing visitors to see firsthand how AI accurately extracts "on‑point" Singapore inspiration from vast amounts of information, transforming trip planning from tedious searching into smart conversations. In the AI Robot interactive zone, intelligent robot dogs acted as "future travel guides", demonstrating innovative applications of AI in travel scenarios.

It is understood that these intelligent robot dogs, capable of answering questions and interacting, have already made their debut at Singapore's Sentosa and Mandai Wildlife Reserve in the first half of this year. Not only can they "talk", but they can also "guide", "dance", and "act cute", bringing a brand‑new smart tourism experience from China to international visitors.

As early as 2023, the Singapore Tourism Board and Mafengwo had precisely targeted family and young travellers through projects such as "The Best Summer Homework" and "Jackson Wang's Same Itinerary". In 2024, Mafengwo's new AI travel assistant "AI Xiao Ma" made its first appearance, with the Singapore Tourism Board becoming Mafengwo's first overseas destination AI partner. In 2025, the two sides jointly launched an AI travel companion product, marking a shift from content marketing to smart service in their cooperation. Looking ahead, the Singapore Tourism Board and Mafengwo will continue to work closely together, providing consumers with a steady stream of travel inspiration, driving travel experience upgrades with AI technology, and enabling more people to experience the "More Fun, More You" charm of the Lion City.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Smartee Denti-Technology launched Smartee AG KIDS, a craniofacial growth guidance system designed for growing patients, in Malaysia. The launch was accompanied by a one-day clinical course attended by 130 dental professionals, focusing on the fundamentals of craniofacial growth, along with the clinical screening protocols and the practical application of the AG KIDS system.

The one-day course, titled "Airway & Growth," was led by Dr Yue Weng Cheu, Clinical Director of DP Dental in Singapore, who led the key clinical collaborators involved in the development of AG KIDS.

The program opened with clinical cases illustrating dentofacial and airway-related growth changes in children. Subsequent sessions explored the science of craniofacial growth and the airway, including the dentist's role in early identification, followed by a three-domain screening approach covering screening for sleep-related breathing and bidirectional referral to sleep physicians or ENTs.

The course also introduced the clinical application of AG KIDS, including case submission, treatment workflow,  and clinical support.

A Three-Dimensional Craniofacial Growth Guidance Framework

AG KIDS is a craniofacial growth guidance system designed for growing patients aged 3 to 16 years. The system applies a three-dimensional framework to the management of arch form, vertical dimension and mandibular position, with alignment achieved within the broader growth-guidance process.

Its integrated configuration includes the Smartee S8-SGHB PLUS for sagittal and vertical control, S11 Palatal Device for transverse expansion, and K4 JOY-JOY and K5 SMILEY-SMILEY for myofunctional support. Dentists using AG KIDS are also supported by a dedicated algorithm designed to assist with case planning on the SMARTEECHECK platform.

Throughout the program, Dr. Yue emphasized the dentist's role in early identification and screening while maintaining a clear diagnostic boundary: formal diagnosis of sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBDs), including obstructive sleep apnoea, remains within the appropriate medical scope.

Clinical Perspectives on Early Assessment and Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Dr. Chen Ye Hong, Founding President of the Malaysian Dentofacial Sleep Society (MDSS), who attended the course, highlighted the importance of looking beyond tooth alignment when evaluating children.

"Early orthodontic care should move beyond simply straightening teeth to supporting healthy facial growth and function. Children should be assessed for breathing patterns, airway health, tongue function, and sleep quality as part of a broader clinical evaluation. Closer collaboration between orthodontists, sleep dentists, ENT specialists, and other healthcare professionals is essential," said Dr. Chen.

His perspective reflected the course's focus on early identification, screening, and appropriate referral, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration between dental and medical professionals.

Drawing on his involvement in the development of AG KIDS and his clinical experience with growing patients, Dr. Yue also emphasized the importance of keeping pace with developments in research and clinical practice while establishing appropriate interdisciplinary workflows.

"We need to keep abreast of the research, clinical applications and treatment systems, while establishing clear workflows with our medical colleagues and allied health partners," said Dr. Yue.

The Malaysia launch marks a further step in Smartee's development of its portfolio  for growing patients and its ongoing clinical education initiatives. Through continued product development, professional education and collaboration with clinicians, Smartee aims to support clinicians in applying structured approaches to the management of craniofacial growth in growing patients.
