Russia said on Thursday that its forces had taken control of a settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported strikes on multiple Russian military targets across several regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily report that its forces had taken control of a residential settlement in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces targeted 145 areas, including logistics centers, fuel and energy facilities, transport and port infrastructure, ammunition warehouses, drone assembly workshops temporary deployment sites for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries, the ministry said.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continued to use attack drones to strike Ukrainian military-industrial complexes, logistics centers, ports and vessels, according to the ministry.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the same day that Ukrainian forces had carried out strikes on multiple key Russian targets on Wednesday and Thursday.

In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces used air-launched missiles to hit Russian primary and backup command posts, according to the report.

In addition, Ukrainian forces also hit Russian maintenance and support units in the Kherson region, struck a Russian drone command and control point in Crimea, and targeted Russian troop concentration areas in both the Zaporozhye and Crimea regions, the Ukrainian military said.
