The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will for the first time ever see the establishment of a "China Services" exhibition zone at its core area for thematic exhibition when it opens on September 9 at western Beijing's Shougang Park, spotlighting innovative achievements and representative cases from across the nation's service trade sector, officials announced Friday.
Approximately 90 countries and international organizations will host exhibitions and events, with more than 1,800 enterprises participating offline.
"This year's China International Fair for Trade in Services will further highlight the features of innovation and the characteristics of service trade, focusing on showcasing new technologies, new solutions and new achievements in service trade fields such as information and communications, financial technology, digital intelligent healthcare, smart education, and energy conservation and environmental protection. More than 90 enterprises and institutions will unveil their research and development achievements, with innovative technologies, products and services in multiple fields making their global debut or China premiere," said Yan Dong, Vice Minister of Commerce, at a press conference in Beijing.
In another first, the fair will also feature the establishment of "Overseas Expansion Services" sections across multiple thematic exhibitions to help premium Chinese service providers reach international markets.
"To facilitate the smooth overseas expansion and global reach of 'China Services,' we are also establishing for the first time an 'Overseas Expansion Services Promotion and Roadshow Area,' where professional institutions from fields including finance, law, accounting, intellectual property, advertising and human resources will host over 40 promotion and roadshow events, providing 'one-stop' professional services for enterprises going global," Tang Wenhong, Vice Mayor of Beijing, told the press.
Organizers say they have arranged the fair around four themes: open integration, win-win cooperation, digital intelligent innovation, and green development. Nearly 100 conferences and forums are planned, including the release of authoritative reports such as the "Report on the Development of China's Trade in Services," alongside more than 100 matchmaking and promotional activities.
