Smartee Expands Pediatric Orthodontic Education Initiatives in Asia Pacific Through Clinical Exchange

2026-09-02 10:38 Last Updated At:10:55

SINGAPORE, Aug. 31, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Smartee Denti-Technology recently brought together dental professionals for the Smartee Kinder & Teen Workshop, an educational program focused on the clinical assessment and management of growing patients.

Held under the theme "Children's Early Orthodontic Treatment: From Screening to Clinical Application," the workshop provided a platform for clinicians to discuss practical considerations in pediatric orthodontics, including patient assessment, treatment timing, case selection and the application of different treatment approaches.

The program formed part of Smartee's continued clinical education activities for dental professionals across the Asia-Pacific region.

Clinical Discussion Focuses on Treatment Decision-Making

A key component of the workshop was an interactive discussion in which participating clinicians raised questions based on challenges encountered in daily practice.

Among the topics addressed was the use of myofunctional trainers in growing patients. The discussion focused on evaluating their use according to the individual patient's orofacial myofunctional condition, developmental stage and treatment objectives, rather than applying a uniform approach across different cases.

Participants also discussed Smartee's approach to the management of growing patients. The session considered dental alignment alongside factors including dentofacial growth, occlusal development and oral function, with treatment approaches selected according to individual clinical needs.

Another area of discussion was maxillary expansion in pediatric Class II cases. The session emphasized case-specific assessment, including transverse development, arch form, and occlusal relationships, when determining whether expansion should form part of a treatment plan.

Treatment timing was also addressed. Discussions focused on how orthodontic evaluation during active growth enables clinicians to assess evolving dentofacial relationships and to make evidence-informed decisions—such as continued monitoring, initiation of early intervention, or specialist referral - based on the patient's specific clinical presentation.

Supporting Clinical Education Across Asia Pacific

The conference reflects Smartee's ongoing focus on professional education alongside the development of orthodontic solutions for growing patients.

Through conferences, courses and clinical exchange programs, Smartee provides opportunities for dental professionals to discuss topics including patient selection, treatment timing, clinical decision-making and the application of different orthodontic approaches in growing patients.

As Smartee continues its pediatric orthodontic education activities across Asia Pacific, the company plans to maintain clinical exchange as a key component of its engagement with dental professionals in the region.

From intelligent robotic automation in Zurich to bimanual robot training data in Bremen, Agile Robots and its subsidiary Franka Robotics demonstrated how Physical AI empowers human from research into real-world applications.

ZURICH and BREMEN, Germany, Sept. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- This August, at two leading European events Agile Robots and its subsidiary Franka Robotics presented one connected vision: Let intelligent robots that can sense, learn and perform - bring Physical AI to the real world.

all about automation Zurich, Switzerland | 26-27 August

Among 300 exhibitors at Messe Zürich, Agile Robots showcased two advanced automation solutions for manufacturers and integrators:

  • Diana 7 - force-controlled assembly. Diana 7's torque sensors in all seven joints monitored engine head insertion forces in real time, helping confirm correct position while reducing the risk of jamming and component damage.

  • Thor 12– flexible robotic welding. With drag-and-drop teaching and low-code control, users can quickly create and flexibly adjust welding paths while achieving stable seams across corner, vertical and inclined welds—even with gaps as narrow as 1 mm.

Robot Training Data at IJCAI-ECAI 2026

Bremen, Germany | 15 - 21 August

As a Silver Sponsor of IJCAI-ECAI 2026, Franka Robotics demonstrated how AI developers can turn human expertise into structured data for training intelligent robot behaviors.

Visitors used Franka GELLO Duo to teleoperate the FR3 Duo, while LABS captured each demonstration as training data for bimanual manipulation skills. By connecting intuitive teleoperation, high-performance robotic hardware and data capture in one integrated workflow, the solution enables AI teams to collect repeatable demonstrations and build scalable robot-learning datasets.
