Shenzhen's imports and exports with APEC economies surged 34.4 percent year on year to 2.37 trillion yuan (about 352.85 billion U.S. dollars) in the first seven months of this year.
According to Shenzhen Customs, the city's trade volume accounted for 13.2 percent of China's total trade with APEC economies from January to July, reaching the highest share ever for this period.

The death toll from the devastating August 26 mudslide and floods in Nepal had risen to 1,259, with around 5,083 people still missing as of 19:00 local time on Thursday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
A total of 12,038 victims have been rescued so far, with 21,314 security personnel mobilized for search, rescue and relief operations, the Nepalese authority said.
