Lexar Unveils Muse, the World's Thinnest Portable SSD, at IFA 2026
The LUBA 4 AWD series introduces MAMMOTION's next generation of robotic mowing for lawns from 0.75 acres to 3 acres, pairing surround navigation with an enhanced AWD platform and intelligent edge trimming to deliver a gardener's standard of lawn care.
BERLIN, Sept. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- MAMMOTION, a global leader in outdoor robotics, today introduced LUBA 4 AWD, its new flagship robotic lawn mower series, on the opening day of IFA 2026, marking a major step toward robotic mowers that can understand their surroundings, move intelligently, and mow just like skilled gardeners.
Robotic mowers have already proven that lawn cutting can be automated with minimal human intervention. The new LUBA 4 AWD represents the company's next evolution of robotic lawn care, moving beyond scheduled automation toward more precise lawn maintenance and intelligent care for lawn health. Its new Surround Quad-Vision × Tri-Fusion positioning system is equipped with a surround-view quad-camera vision system to provide a more comprehensive understanding of real-world environments for smarter navigation and more precise mowing. Combined with an enhanced front-wheel steering AWD platform, a turf-friendly bidirectional mowing design, and new edge-cutting innovations, LUBA 4 AWD delivers complete edge-to-edge coverage across virtually every lawn while protecting lawn health and reducing the need for manual touch-up.
"The difference between a lawn that has been cut and one that has been properly cared for often comes down to the areas a robot finds most difficult: the boundaries, steep slopes, transitions and corners," said Jayden Wei, CEO of MAMMOTION. "Over the past decade, we've listened closely to our users and refined every generation of LUBA around those challenges. LUBA 4 AWD is built to perform where robotic mowers are challenged most, delivering the consistency and precision people expect from a skilled gardener."
The launch comes as MAMMOTION marks its tenth year in outdoor robotics. Visitors to IFA 2026 can see LUBA 4 AWD in action on a live turf demonstration at MAMMOTION's booths (Indoor Booth H9-123, Outdoor Booth OCG-141), with the full product lineup also on display.
Seeing All Around: Surround Quad-Vision × Tri-Fusion Positioning System
Most robotic mowers look ahead. LUBA 4 AWD looks all around by design. Its updated Tri-Fusion navigation system combines four wide-angle cameras covering the front, sides and rear with 360° LiDAR and NetRTK, giving the mower a more complete view of its surroundings. With this new navigation system, LUBA 4 AWD can read complex outdoor environments, respond to obstacles in real time and plan efficient mowing paths, even under dense tree cover or in low-light conditions.
- Triple-layer sensing for greater reliability: Surround Quad- Vision, 360° LiDAR and NetRTK work together as three sensing layers that create a triple-redundancy system, with each acting as a real-time backup for the other two. This helps the mower stay on course, reduce drift and maintain stable mapping in changing outdoor conditions.
- Awareness in every direction: With 360° LiDAR and cameras positioned around the mower, LUBA 4 AWD can detect obstacles beyond the front field of view, supporting safer and more consistent operation across complex yards.
- Wire-free, hassle-free setup: Homeowners do not need to bury perimeter wires or install a separate RTK base station. MAMMOTION iNavi Service™ data is included globally for the lifetime of the product.
Moving with Confidence: Turf-Friendly All-wheel-drive Performance
With LUBA 4 AWD, MAMMOTION takes its signature all-wheel-drive platform further, combining active front-wheel independent steering, independent four-wheel torque vectoring and bidirectional driving for smoother, more confident movement across complex terrain. By directing power to the wheels with the most grip, the system helps the mower handle uneven ground and slopes of up to 80% (38.6°) while maintaining consistent mowing lines from the first row to the last.
Guided by Surround Quad-Vision and 360° LiDAR, LUBA 4 AWD can transition between mowing passes without harsh in-place U-turns. This maneuver reduces unnecessary turning, helping the mower maintain a cleaner path and spend more time cutting.
Mowing with Purpose: Scaled Cutting and Precision Edge Care
Built for larger and tougher lawns, the LUBA 4 AWD Series combines a pivoting razor blade design, extra-wide cutting discs, a high-capacity detachable battery and efficient power management. These upgrades effectively improve mowing efficiency across coverage, cutting performance and runtime, helping the mower cover expansive estate grounds with fewer interruptions.
- Wider single-pass coverage: Dual cutting discs on the 3000F and 6000F, and triple cutting discs on the 12000F, expand cutting width to 17.3 inches (440 mm) and 20.9 inches (530 mm), respectively, increasing coverage per pass across open areas and complex layouts.
- Terrain-following decks and flexible cutting height: The series supports cutting heights from 1 to 3.9 inches (25-100 mm) on the 3000F and 6000F, and 1 to 3.3 inches (25-85 mm) on the 12000F. Each floating cutting deck is equipped with six razor blades and independently follows dips and crowns across the terrain, helping maintain a clean cut across thick grass, rough lawns and changing terrain.
- Efficient power system: A high-capacity detachable battery and 210W fast charging help reduce downtime between mowing sessions.
Edges are where robotic mowing has traditionally stopped short. For tricky boundaries along walls, fences and garden beds, an optional edge-trimming accessory helps deliver cleaner boundary lines and reduce manual touch-ups. It brings precision edge care into the same autonomous mowing workflow, freeing users from manual edge-work and leaving a professional, hand-crafted finish.
LUBA 4 AWD also adds more intelligent, hands-free interaction to the APP, from offline voice control and remote video monitoring so users can manage mowing more easily and check on their yard from anywhere. Additional AI capabilities will continue to roll out through future updates.
