A takeaway meal from a local-style cafe in Kwai Chung has sparked widespread public concern after a customer discovered a live newborn rat wriggling inside the food container. A video of the incident, which shows a pink, hairless rodent with its limbs still moving in a bowl of satay beef noodles, has gone viral on social media.

Mike, who runs the cafe, said he was “completely baffled” by the incident. He did not rule out a prank but considered it unlikely, adding that the cafe had been operating for years without any similar occurrence. He expressed his wish to contact the consumer to learn more about the incident.

Mike explained that the beef noodles are freshly prepared and cooked at high temperatures. “After cooking, the rat should have been dead; it wouldn’t still be moving so vigorously,” he said. He added that the staff member responsible for packing the takeaway had already finished work for the day, and he would speak to them later to understand what happened.

Mike said that since the cafe is situated in an industrial district where rodents are sometimes spotted, it conducts a thorough cleaning and disinfection on a monthly basis and will intensify its pest control efforts moving forward.

NY Jets get their first takeaway of the season on Broncos' first drive in London

It came on a third-and-7 and Franklin appeared to have the first-down yardage before Brownlee knocked the ball loose.

The Jets were the first NFL team to have no takeaways through the first five games since 1933, when turnovers were first tracked, according to ESPN Research.

The Jets offense could only advance 3 yards, though, and it settled for Nick Folk's 52-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.
