Featuring AI dual-spectrum fusion, intelligent analysis, and instant reporting, the RISION Magic Pro sets a new standard for home and commercial inspections.
HONG KONG, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- RISION, a global technology brand specializing in thermal imaging and intelligent sensing, today opened pre-orders for the RISION Magic Pro, the professional model in its Magic Series of USB-C thermal cameras, available from September 10th on RISION's official website.
Announced on August 3 alongside the RISION Magic, the Magic Pro turns a smartphone, tablet or Windows computer into a full thermal inspection tool. It shares the Magic's 24-gram, battery-free USB-C design, AI BiSpectrix™ fusion and free RISION View apps, and adds the image detail needed to inspect, document and report on complex thermal scenes.
"With the Magic, we made thermal imaging accessible to anyone. With the Magic Pro, we give inspectors, tradespeople and demanding home users a tool they can rely on from the first scan to the final report," said York Guo, founder and CEO of RISION. "Higher resolution shows the problem, live multi-zone analysis quantifies it, and one-tap reporting documents it".
What the Magic Pro Adds
The RISION Magic Pro matches the Magic's ≤40 mK sensitivity, 25 Hz refresh rate, -4 °F to 1112 °F (-20°C to 600°C) range and ±2% accuracy. Its difference is the sensor: a native 256 × 192 array, processed by QuadIR™ into a 512 × 384 image. Individual breakers, terminals, HVAC tubing or a single pipe behind drywall resolve as distinct objects, with clear separation, and every point, line and area measurement lands on the right component. Radiometric photos, video and one-tap PDF reports carry that same detail to the client.
Built for Real Inspection Work
From electrical panels to HVAC systems, the Magic series handles a wide range of inspection, including but not limited to:
- Electrical: Monitor five breakers at once; a threshold alert flags any circuit running hotter than its neighbors.
- HVAC: Compare supply and return temperatures, and film a compressor's start-up to catch faults that only appear under load.
- Building and energy audits: Map insulation gaps, thermal bridges and air leaks across a whole facade, then deliver a PDF report tying every anomaly to a visible-light photo.
- Mechanical and automotive: Track bearings, motors and brake discs with real-time waveform graphs.
Pricing and Availability
The RISION Magic Pro is priced at $299 MSRP. Pre-orders now open on RISION's official website with a $10 deposit, offering an early-bird price of $219 ($90 off), valid until September 28, with open sales via the official website and Amazon from the same day. Early buyers receive an extra year of warranty, for three years in total.
Following the full launch of the Magic series in the US, the lineup will also be available in the UK starting September 15. The Magic arrives at an MSRP of £159 with an early-bird price of £139, a £20 saving. The Magic Pro follows on October 13 at £359 MSRP, with an early-bird price of £269, saving early adopters £90.

JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku and JAL join forces to connect three of Japan's great pilgrimage regions through rail, air, and local experiences
TOKYO, Sept. 10, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- JR East today announced a new initiative with four of Japan's major transportation companies aimed at travelers seeking more than sightseeing. This collaboration will make it easier for international travelers to discover three of Japan's ancient pilgrimage regions through experiences centered on nature, reflection, and well-being.
https://en.japantravel.com/feature/sacred-journeys
The initiative brings together East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central), West Japan Railway Company (JR West), Shikoku Railway Company (JR Shikoku), and Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) to Dewa Sanzan (Yamagata), three sacred mountains that symbolize rebirth; the Kumano Kodo (Kii Peninsula), a UNESCO World Heritage Site pilgrimage; and the Shikoku Henro, a circular pilgrimage connecting 88 temples, through a combination of rail, air, and local transportation.
Rather than landmark-hopping, the five companies are encouraging travelers to explore these regions through walking, nature, spirituality, cultural exchange, and reflection. The program aims to broaden the appeal of regional Japan to international visitors, directing more travelers beyond the country's major cities and into smaller communities. In the Dewa Sanzan region, JR East will also use its Joyful Train services, specially designed trains that make the journey itself part of the travel experience, to connect international visitors with Yamagata's landscapes, culture, and regional attractions.
The launch comes as Japan welcomes record numbers of international visitors. According to the JNTO*1, the country received more than 42.6 million overseas visitors in 2025, surpassing the previous annual record. At the same time, wellness tourism has become a major global travel market, with worldwide expenditure estimated at US$894 billion in 2024, according to the GWI*2.
The five companies see Japan's pilgrimage traditions as a natural fit for this travel landscape. Unlike conventional sightseeing, these pilgrimages support reflection, well-being, and a deeper connection with the places they visit. Like the pilgrimage routes themselves, the initiative is focused on the journey rather than a single destination, taking travelers through mountains, forests, villages, and communities. Whether travelers are walking ancient trails or traveling aboard JR East's Shinkansen and local trains, the experience of moving through a region becomes an integral part of the trip.

A new model for regional tourism
The long-term vision is to use this model of wellness and spiritual culture as a template for a more sustainable model of inbound tourism that tackles localized overtourism by connecting regions rather than concentrating visitors in Japan's best-known cities.
By linking transportation, local experiences, and communities across three distinctive pilgrimage traditions, JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku, and JAL aim to make it easier for international travelers to discover a different side of Japan and to give them reasons to return and continue their journey.

Takako Tsutsumiguchi, Division Senior Manager, East Japan Railway Company, said:
"Japan's pilgrimage routes offer travelers something that goes beyond seeing a destination. They offer travelers time to walk, reflect, and reconnect with themselves while experiencing the culture and nature of each region. Through collaboration across our five companies, we hope to make these journeys more accessible to international visitors and create new reasons for them to return to Japan."
