One of China's leading AI chipmakers, Enflame Technology, was listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday, drawing a great amount of attention from the market.
Focusing on cloud-based AI chips, the company has developed a comprehensive product portfolio covering AI chips, AI accelerator cards and modules, intelligent computing systems and clusters, as well as AI computing and programming software platforms.
According to its prospectus, Enflame issued 43,035,173 shares in its initial public offering (IPO) and aims to raise 6 billion yuan (about 890 million U.S. dollars) through the IPO.
The funds raised will be used for the research, development, and commercialization of its fifth- and sixth-generation AI chip product series, as well as for an advanced AI hardware-software co-innovation project.
The company's financial data showed that Enflame earned an operating revenue of 1.12 billion yuan (167 million U.S. dollars) in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year surge of 279.08 percent.
"The listing of Enflame could generate a significant multiplier effect across Shanghai's semiconductor and integrated-circuit industry chain. It could, most importantly, generate a driving force for chip design, while secondly, it could stimulate development of other related segments such as upstream wafer-manufacturing equipment, including components," said Hu Yuanyuan, senior analyst of Industrial Securities' electron industry.
With Enflame's listing, China's four leading domestic GPU firms, namely Moore Threads, MetaX, Biren Technology, and Enflame Technology, have all now entered the capital markets.
Industrial insiders pointed out that in the first half of this year, domestic GPU enterprises generally recorded revenue growth with narrowing losses. As they are approaching their profitability inflection point, the competition has moved from research, development and validation to market shakeout.
"The listing of China's four leading domestic GPU companies is, in fact, a very positive signal for the industry. It indicates that domestic chip companies have entered a stage to test whether their products can be sold in the market, generate revenue and get off to a good start," Hu said.
