Medtronic and Junior Achievement take top honors in inaugural US250 Corporate Excellence Award as AmChamSG recognizes 22 companies and business leaders
SINGAPORE, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (AmChamSG) recognized 22 companies and business leaders for excellence in innovation, leadership, workplace culture and U.S.-Singapore business ties at the 2026 #AmChamREPRESENT Awards dinner on September 8, 2026. Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Chairman of the National Research Foundation, Singapore and Former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, presented the awards.
The six award categories recognize organizational excellence and individual leadership, spanning corporate excellence, digital and AI adoption, workplace culture, leadership development and contributions to U.S.-Singapore business ties.
The awards were presented as part of the 2026 AmChamSG Regional Economic Conference, a two-day gathering of government, business and policy leaders examining the forces reshaping growth, resilience and competitiveness in Singapore and the region.
Among this year's standout recipients, Medtronic received both the US250 Corporate Excellence Award and Empowering Workplace Award in the MNC category, while Micron was recognized for its leadership in AI adoption and received an Honorable Mention for US250 Corporate Excellence, together with The Lubrizol Corporation. Junior Achievement took the US250 Corporate Excellence Award in the SME & Others category.
"Medtronic is proud to receive both the US250 Corporate Excellence Award and the Empowering Workplace Award, reflecting our commitment to responsible leadership, innovation, and meaningful impact across Southeast Asia. This recognition belongs to our people and the inclusive culture that enables them to thrive. We greatly value our longstanding partnership with AmCham and our shared commitment to advancing healthcare access, innovation, and regional progress," said Feng Dong, Vice President of Medtronic Asia.
Introduced this year to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, the US250 Corporate Excellence Award recognizes companies that embody the values of American enterprise — including boldness, resilience, openness and corporate responsibility — through the way they do business and contribute to society. The award highlights organizations that pair innovation and resilience with meaningful economic and community impact.
In congratulating the recipients, AmChamSG CEO Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei said, "Recognition matters because it acknowledges the effort and impact behind what has already been achieved. But the best awards should also inspire what comes next."
"Through the #AmChamREPRESENT Awards, we want to celebrate companies and leaders who are making a difference today, while encouraging our business community to keep pushing forward, raising the bar and creating even greater impact. That spirit is especially meaningful as the United States marks 250 years of independence. The inaugural US250 Corporate Excellence Award recognizes the contributions American businesses have already made in Singapore and the region, while also challenging us to build on that legacy through continued innovation, resilience and partnership."
The 2026 #AmChamREPRESENT Awards comprise three company and three individual award categories:
