Sonilo is developing its Sound World Model, a multimodal AI system designed to connect video understanding, audio generation and temporal alignment. Rather than treating music and sound effects as isolated assets, the company is building technology that understands visual stories and generates audio in relation to the action, environment and narrative.
The production presented at Venice illustrated that approach across both music and sound effects.
For the score, Sonilo helped the production team explore contrasting instrumental textures within a character-driven musical framework. The finished soundtrack progressed from restrained elements beneath dialogue to deeper bass and additional layers as conflict approached. Rhythm and intensity increased with the action, culminating in a combination of synthesizers, orchestral elements and percussion. The result demonstrated how generated material can be developed into music with narrative structure, rather than simply placed beneath a sequence of images.
For sound effects, Sonilo analyzed scene content, movement, materials and narrative context before generating audio. Sound creators then reviewed and refined the results, corrected mismatches and added further creative direction. This scene-aware approach connects generation to a central requirement of filmmaking: sounds must belong to the world on screen, not merely sound convincing on their own.

The team used Sonilo to generate multiple musical and sound-effect directions, evaluate their emotional and narrative fit, and develop the strongest material through selection, combination, editing and professional post-production. This gave the project's composer and creative team a broader range of material to work with while preserving the decisions that shaped the final soundtrack.
