SEOUL, South Korea, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Daesang, one of Korea's leading food companies, is accelerating its push into the U.S. market with a diverse lineup of Korean sauce products under its global food brand Ofood. Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, Daesang is expanding its sauce portfolio drawing on decades of fermentation technology and food manufacturing expertise, preserving authentic Korean flavors while adapting its products to blend naturally with American tastes and food culture.

As interest in Korean cuisine continues to grow across North America, traditional Korean fermented sauces and pastes such as gochujang are gaining attention not only as ingredients for specific dishes but also as versatile sauces for everyday use. In response, Daesang has designated sauces as one of its four key global product categories, alongside kimchi, gim (Korean seaweed), and convenience foods. Under the Ofood brand, the company offers a wide range of products, including gochujang-based table sauces, K-BBQ sauces, tteokbokki sauces, and chicken dipping sauces.

Ofood's flagship Natural Gochujang retains the deep flavor of traditional gochujang while offering greater convenience, with a thinner consistency and a milder fermented aroma. Packaged in a tube, it can be easily drizzled over tacos, salads, and spring rolls or used as a dipping sauce. The product ranks No. 1 among Daesang's sauce exports, with 2025 sales up approximately 84% year over year. It is currently available through major retail channels, including Walmart.

Daesang also offers a variety of products that adapt popular Korean flavors to local eating habits. Gochujang Tteokbokki Hot Sauce captures the spicy-sweet flavor of tteokbokki, one of Korea's signature street foods, and can be used not only for tteokbokki but also in dishes such as pasta and gnocchi. Made primarily with soy sauce and gochujang, All Purpose Korean BBQ Sauce can be used as a meat marinade, stir-fry sauce, or dipping sauce.

Chicken Dipping Sauce makes it easy to enjoy the flavors of K-chicken at home, with a gochujang base that delivers the distinctive spicy-sweet flavor of Korean-style seasoned fried chicken. Mayo Gochujang, which combines gochujang and mayonnaise, pairs well with burgers and French fries.

Daesang currently exports approximately 480 sauce products to around 60 countries worldwide, including the United States. The company plans to continue developing K-sauces tailored to consumer trends in individual countries and regions, expand distribution through mainstream retail channels worldwide, and strengthen its presence in global sauce markets, including the United States.

Eun-young Park, Head of Daesang's Food Business Unit, said, "As interest in K-Food continues to grow, traditional Korean fermented sauces and pastes such as gochujang are gaining attention as versatile sauces that local consumers can incorporate into everyday meals. We will continue to introduce Ofood products that preserve authentic Korean flavors while reflecting the tastes and food culture of each market, and expand our reach in mainstream markets in the United States and around the world."

AMSTERDAM, Sept. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- At IBC 2026, SDMC (00901.HK), a Global Leading Provider of AI Home Solutions, showcased a deployable AI Home architecture powered by cloud-edge intelligence, Edge AI, and emerging Physical AI capabilities. The showcase followed SDMC's selection for Google Cloud's Proactive Physical AI Acceleration Program, highlighting continued collaboration to advance AI Home innovation and real-world service deployment.

Advancing Physical AI with Google Cloud

Through the program, SDMC is working with Google Cloud across technology co-creation, scenario validation, and service pilots, combining Google Cloud's AI capabilities with SDMC's experience in home devices, edge computing, and operator delivery.

The collaboration supports the development of more proactive AI Home services across entertainment, security, and other emerging home scenarios.

Cloud-Edge Intelligence: From Understanding to Action

At the core of SDMC's AI Home architecture are Cedar and AI Station, combining multimodal intelligence with shared edge compute to enable more responsive, private, and scalable AI Home services.

SDMC demonstrated Cedar through an interactive AI Home experience combining Cedar multimodal AI model and Cedar Agent. Built on Google's Gemma open model, Cedar supports multimodal context understanding and reasoning at the edge, while Cedar Agent coordinates actions across devices and services. Gemini complements edge intelligence in the cloud when broader reasoning is needed.

AI Station provides shared edge compute for Cedar and broader AI Home workloads, serving operators, small businesses, and premium households. Powered by NVIDIA Jetson T5000, it allows multiple AI applications to share computing resources, reducing the need for dedicated high-performance hardware in every endpoint while keeping latency- and privacy-sensitive workloads within the home.

Extending AI Across Home Experiences and Operations

SDMC demonstrated how AI can extend across interaction, entertainment, connectivity, and operations. Together with Amlogic, SDMC brought Edge AI to AI Home Display and AI Streaming Box, while the Google TV 4K Projector extended entertainment to immersive large-screen viewing.

For home networks and devices, AI Operation supports faster diagnosis, proactive optimization, and more autonomous O&M, while AI Fiber Gateway combines advanced connectivity with AI capabilities to improve network performance and operational efficiency.

Turning AI Home Innovation into Deployable Services

Beyond the demonstrations, discussions at IBC also addressed how operators can introduce AI services across existing home devices and platforms while balancing deployment complexity, responsiveness, and privacy. These discussions will help inform the next stage of customer validation, product configuration, and service pilots.

By combining cloud intelligence, shared edge compute, and existing home ecosystems, SDMC helps operators scale AI Home services without requiring dedicated AI hardware at every endpoint, supporting differentiated home experiences, more efficient operations, and continuous service innovation.

Bringing Physical AI into the Home

Beyond current AI Home deployments, SDMC continues to explore how Physical AI can extend intelligence from digital understanding to real-world action—from connected home control and autonomous cleaning to emerging scenarios involving robotic manipulations.

Looking ahead, SDMC continues advancing AI Home innovation and ecosystem collaboration to create practical value for operators and households.
