Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the United States could enhance mutual trust between the nations and expand their convergence of interests, delivering benefits to both countries and the world, according to international observers.
Xi's state visit comes just months after U.S. President Donald Trump's China trip in May.
Sean Stein, president of the U.S.-China Business Council, said he was looking forward to the visit achieving positive results and injecting impetus into the smooth progress of bilateral relations.
"We're looking for a true commitment from both sides to strategic stability. We're looking for further progress on changing the tone of the relationship. So if you ask the business community, what do we want? It's stability. We want better trust and better communication between the two sides," he said.
Gyula Thurmer, president of the Hungarian Workers' Party, said that the meeting between the two heads of state would serve as an opportunity to build a stronger bridge of cooperation and jointly promote world development and prosperity.
