New Asia Pacific platform VXA convenes government, enterprise and technology leaders in Singapore as AI, robotics and cybersecurity converge

  • A closed-door preview was co-organised by platform creator Eleotri and ARC. The two will extend their partnership across the region ahead of VXA's inaugural edition in Q3 2027.

SINGAPORE, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- VXA (Vision, Exchange, Action), an independent Asia Pacific platform created by Eleotri, held a closed-door preview in Singapore today. It brought together senior leaders from government, enterprise and technology to examine how organisations and policy are adapting as AI, robotics and cybersecurity converge. The preview was co-organised with AI, Robotics & Cybersecurity Singapore (ARC Singapore) and also marked the industry body's official launch.

Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information, attended as Distinguished Guest.

In his address, Mr Tan said: "Innovation and trust have to advance together, and neither can be advanced or achieved by the government alone. We need different perspectives from around the table – from those who build and deploy technology to those who secure the technology and are able to consider its wider implications.

"I look forward to working with our ASEAN friends in the coming year as we embark on a new chapter, where ASEAN marks its 60th anniversary. Technology, including AI, robotics and cybersecurity, will inevitably be part of that wider conversation. Questions of how we harness new technology, manage the risks, build trusted systems, develop the capabilities of our people are ones that Singapore and all of us need to be focused on."

AI, robotics and cybersecurity increasingly meet in the same factories, networks and public services, yet the leaders accountable for them often sit in different teams, budgets and forums. With IDC projecting AI spending in Asia Pacific to reach US$555 billion by 2030, the cost of that gap is rising.

"Decisions taken now will shape how these technologies are embedded across our economies and societies for the next decade. Government, enterprise and technology leaders each hold part of the picture. VXA brings them into one room, so the whole picture is on the table and they can work through it together," said Dr Lam Pin Min, Chairman, Eleotri.

ARC Singapore to accelerate Singapore's AI story

At the ARC Singapore launch, country chapter leads for Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to establish local ARC chapters. The signing was witnessed by His Excellency Dr Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, and His Excellency Mr Tran Phuoc Anh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Singapore.

Mr Chia Hock Lai, Co-Chairman, ARC Singapore, said: "Tackling AI, robotics and cybersecurity separately is costing governments and enterprises real value, and that cost is growing. With chapters now forming across the region, ARC Singapore will work with its members to build industry solutions grounded in trust and practical cooperation. VXA, which brings government, enterprise and industry to the same table, is a natural partner in that work."

Action-oriented conversations

The preview's panel examined how organisations are reordering the way they operate as these technologies converge. It focused on who holds accountability as AI moves into physical operations, how teams and governance are being redesigned to keep pace, and how enterprise experience can inform policy while frameworks are still taking shape.

Delegates also saw AI, robotics and cybersecurity working together at a technology showcase featuring Clairvoyant Intelligence, iAPPS Health Group, ST Engineering Cybersecurity and Strides Digital.

Across Asia Pacific, countries and organisations are moving at different speeds on the same questions. As VXA builds towards its inaugural edition in Q3 2027, Eleotri and ARC Singapore will extend their partnership across the region, bringing policymakers, enterprise leaders and technology executives from more markets into the conversation. Details will be announced in due course.

Officially Launched to Foster Cross-sector Collaboration, Nurture Creative Talent and Drive the Sustainable Development of Hong Kong's Creative Industries

HONG KONG, Oct. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Microfilm Production Support Scheme (Music) ("Support Scheme"), organised by the Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing (AIM) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), officially launches its 14th edition today with the Matching Session and Kick-off Ceremony held at the InnoCentre in Kowloon Tong. Miss Yvonne IP, Assistant Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries, officiates as Guest of Honour, together with Mr. Francis FONG, Chairman of AIM, and Mr. Ricky FUNG, BBS, CEO of IFPI (Hong Kong Group) Limited, marking the commencement of this year's Support Scheme.

The Support Scheme has long promoted cross-sector collaboration among Hong Kong's advertising production, film and television, and music industries. Through production funding and professional training, the Scheme encourages local creative talent to produce original and story-driven microfilms, nurtures the next generation of creative professionals, and contributes to the sustainable development of Hong Kong's creative industries. Over the years, the Scheme has continued to support emerging talent in advertising, film and music, encouraging innovative forms of creative expression through cross-disciplinary collaboration and injecting new momentum into Hong Kong's creative ecosystem.

Funding and Professional Training to Support Creative Talent Development

The 14th Support Scheme consists of two funding categories: Tier 1 "Advertising Production Start-ups" and Tier 2 "Professional Advertising Production Houses". For Tier 1, ten start-up advertising production companies participate in this year's Scheme. During today's ceremony, the teams are paired with singers by drawing lots, forming ten creative partnerships. Each team will receive funding of up to HK$130,000 to produce a 4 to 8-minute original microfilm.  For Tier 2, five self-formed teams comprising directors, scriptwriters, singers and advertising production companies are introduced at the ceremony. Each team is eligible for funding of up to HK$240,000 to create a 12 to 16-minute original microfilm.

Beyond financial support, the Scheme provides a comprehensive range of professional training and mentoring opportunities. Industry veterans and experts will be invited to offer guidance on scriptwriting, directing, production management and post-production techniques, helping participating teams enhance both the quality of their works and their overall creative capabilities.

Promoting Original Productions and Expanding Industry Exposure

Completed microfilms will be showcased through a variety of channels, including FILMART 2027, local television stations, online platforms, social media channels, the Scheme's official website and related promotional activities. These efforts aim to increase public and industry exposure to Hong Kong's original creative content while demonstrating the strength and potential of local creative talent.

The organiser stated that the Support Scheme has, over the years, provided a valuable platform for advertising production companies, directors and music creators to collaborate and exchange ideas. Through supporting the creation of more original works, the Scheme aims to nurture emerging creative talent, strengthen collaboration among the advertising, film and music sectors, and further enrich Hong Kong's creative industry ecosystem.

Following today's Kick-off Ceremony, the selected teams will begin pre-production and filming. The completed microfilms are expected to premiere online in January 2027 and will subsequently be showcased to industry professionals and audiences during FILMART 2027.

Awards to Recognise Excellence and Encourage International Exposure

To recognise creative excellence, the Support Scheme will present a series of awards, including:

  • Best Microfilm Production Award (Gold, Silver and Bronze)
  • Best Microfilm Actor Award (Gold, Silver and Bronze)
  • Best Microfilm Actress Award (Gold, Silver and Bronze)
  • Best Microfilm Scriptwriting Award
  • Best Microfilm Cinematography Award
  • Best Microfilm Art Direction Award
  • Most Popular Microfilm Award (selected through public voting)

Outstanding works and teams may also be recommended to participate in international microfilm and short-film competitions, helping expand their international exposure and creating further development opportunities.
