Korean robotic hand company expands production infrastructure to meet growing demand from humanoid robotics, Physical AI and industrial automation

Industrial shareholders including HL Mando and Daesung Hi-Tech support Tesollo's next phase of growth

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Tesollo, a South Korean robotics company specializing in robotic hands and multi-finger robotic grippers, expects cumulative sales of its robotic hands and grippers to surpass 1,000 units by the end of 2026.

The milestone comes as demand continues to grow across humanoid robotics, Physical AI, industrial automation and robotics research, while Tesollo expands its production and supply capabilities to support a broader global customer base.

Tesollo develops and manufactures articulated robotic hands and grippers designed for a wide range of manipulation applications. Its products are used in industrial automation, robotics research, AI learning and humanoid robotics, where increasingly sophisticated end-effectors are required to handle objects with greater flexibility and precision.

As sales volumes have increased, Tesollo has also strengthened its manufacturing capabilities.

The company expanded its production facilities in 2026 and upgraded its manufacturing infrastructure to support growing demand from customers in Korea and overseas. Its production system covers assembly, inspection, quality control and shipment, providing a foundation for more consistent and scalable supply.

Tesollo currently offers an articulated end-effector portfolio ranging from one-finger mechanisms to five-finger dexterous robotic hands. The company has expanded from supplying primarily research and proof-of-concept applications toward a broader range of real-world deployments, including industrial environments.

Demand for multi-finger robotic hands is also increasing alongside the rapid development of humanoid robots and Physical AI. As robotics companies seek to move beyond mobility toward increasingly complex manipulation, robotic hands capable of interacting with a wide variety of objects are becoming a critical part of the robotics stack.

Tesollo aims to address this shift not only through product development, but also through repeatable manufacturing, quality management and reliable supply.

Based on its current sales trajectory, Tesollo expects cumulative sales of its robotic hands and grippers to exceed 1,000 units by the end of 2026.

For high-DoF robotic hands and articulated grippers—products that remain technically complex and relatively early in their transition to mass commercialization—approaching 1,000 cumulative units represents more than a sales milestone. Tesollo sees it as evidence that the company has established repeatable manufacturing, consistent product quality and sustained market demand.

Tesollo's shareholder base has also evolved alongside the company's growth.

Samsung Venture Investment and POSCO Technology Investment invested in Tesollo during its earlier growth stages, providing institutional backing as the company developed its robotic hand and gripper business.

More recently, industrial companies including HL Mando and Daesung Hi-Tech have joined Tesollo as shareholders through direct investments in the company's common equity.

Their involvement extends beyond financial investment. Both companies continue to maintain collaborative relationships with Tesollo based on their respective industrial capabilities, with Tesollo seeking to translate these relationships into stronger manufacturing competitiveness and broader business opportunities.

Platinum Technology Investment is also an investor in Tesollo. Jahwa Electronics, a Korean manufacturer of electronic and precision components, is the largest shareholder of Platinum Technology Investment. Through this relationship, Tesollo is also expanding discussions with Jahwa Electronics around potential cooperation in manufacturing and business development.

Tesollo is focused on building an industrial network that goes beyond capital investment. By connecting the manufacturing, mobility, robotics and business capabilities of its investors and industry partners with its own robotic hand technology, the company aims to strengthen both its production capabilities and its position in the global robotics market.

The company is also preparing for a potential public listing in South Korea.

Tesollo has appointed KB Securities as its lead underwriter and is proceeding with preparations for a technology-based IPO. The company expects its growing sales base, expanded production infrastructure and industrial partnerships to support its next stage of growth.

"Robotic hands must move beyond technical demonstrations and become products that can be manufactured repeatedly at consistent quality and supplied reliably to customers," said Youngjin Kim, CEO of Tesollo. "As demand from customers in Korea and overseas has increased, we have continued to strengthen our production and quality management capabilities."

"Tesollo is evolving into a robotics manufacturer that supplies robotic hands and grippers to real customers and real-world applications," Kim added. "We will continue to expand collaboration with our industrial shareholders and partners, strengthen our manufacturing competitiveness, and build a stronger global business as the humanoid robotics and Physical AI markets grow."

The airline's debut financing in Japan, structured as a Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option, covers three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft

DOHA, Qatar, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Qatar Airways Group has marked a major milestone in aircraft financing with the signing of its inaugural Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO) transaction, covering three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. HSBC and JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd. (JLPS) were integral partners in the financing, with HSBC acting as debt arranger and sole lender, and JLPS underwriting and arranging the JOLCO equity.

The signing marks the first of three transactions planned under Qatar Airways Group's inaugural JOLCO programme in Japan, supporting a total of seven aircraft. JLPS is serving as equity arranger across the programme. The transaction establishes the Group's presence in the Japanese aircraft financing market and further strengthens its financial partnerships across Asia.

The transaction represents more than a financing milestone. Qatar Airways Group's entry into the Japanese JOLCO market demonstrates confidence in the airline from a highly selective investor community that supports top-tier airline credits. This first-of-its-kind agreement represents the Group's financial strength, credibility, and ability to attract diversified sources of international capital, and sets a positive precedent for the wider investment community.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Hamad Al-Khater, said: "We view the JOLCO market as a strategic long-term funding source and expect to maintain a consistent presence as we finance future fleet investments and growth opportunities."

"This transaction provides Qatar Airways with an important foothold in the Japanese financing market, offering access to a deep pool of capital on extremely attractive financial terms. It further diversifies our funding sources, broadens our investor base, and positions the Group to support its future aircraft financing requirements efficiently and competitively."

JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd. President and Chief Executive Officer, Teiji Ishikawa, said: "Japanese investors look first at the credit of the airline. Qatar Airways is a strong credit, and investors in Japan welcome this transaction. We are very pleased to have arranged the equity for the airline's first JOLCO. We do not see this as a single transaction. It is the start of a long-term programme, and we will continue to support Qatar Airways in the Japanese market for many years to come."

HSBC Qatar Chief Executive Officer, Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi, said: "Building on HSBC's longstanding strategic partnership with Qatar Airways Group, HSBC is pleased to support Qatar Airways Group's inaugural JOLCO. Our role as debt arranger and sole lender in this transaction demonstrates our sector expertise and ability to deliver tailored solutions that support fleet expansion, diversify funding sources, and connect leading airlines with global capital."

As Qatar Airways Group continues to expand its fleet and network, it remains focused on diversifying its funding sources and building long-term relationships with financial institutions and investors in Japan and beyond.
