North London Collegiate School (NLCS), consistently ranked amongst the top performing educational institutions globally, has announced that NLCS Hong Kong plans to open in September 2027, marking its highly anticipated expansion into the city. Opening with partner HOEH Group, together with Man Kiu Association, and the Confucian Academy, the new school will bring its distinctive ethos and excellence in educational provision to families seeking an ambitious academic offering, coupled with care for the individual, the development of leadership skills and a well-rounded education for their children.
Following the establishment of a formal partnership between NLCS and the HOEH Group in November 2025, the private launch event took place on 14 October 2026 at the British Consulate General Hong Kong, and was attended by Mr. Brian Davidson CMG, British Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao, senior NLCS representatives, Hong Kong-based alumnae of the NLCS family of schools, and partners and other representatives from the global NLCS network to celebrate the latest chapter in the school’s international expansion.
The collaboration will see NLCS bring its distinctive ethos, academic excellence, individual pastoral care, and leadership development to Hong Kong families. Pending EDB licensing approval, NLCS Hong Kong targets to open its doors in September 2027. The school will feature selective admissions, prioritising character development, a global outlook, and individual student well-being. Purpose-built campuses will include professional-grade performing arts, drama, and music spaces, while students and staff will benefit from collaborative projects, exchange programmes, and joint publications across the global NLCS network.
During the event, leadership across both organisations formalised key milestones for the new school. The proceedings commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Brian Davidson CMG, British Consul General to Hong Kong and Macao; followed by Mrs. Vicky Bingham, Headmistress of NLCS (UK) to share the school's rich heritage with the audience; followed by Mr. Richard Snape, Acting Principal of NLCS Hong Kong’s sharing how NLCS ethos and philosophy fit the Hong Kong context. Subsequently, Mr. Daniel Lewis, Managing Director, NLCS International shared about the NLCS family of schools. Finally, HOEH Group Chairman Mr. Anthony Tong Kai Hong, BBS, shared about the strategic partnership between NLCS and HOEH.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Daniel Lewis, Managing Director of NLCS International, said: “The launch of NLCS Hong Kong is an exciting moment for us and takes the NLCS family to seven schools in total.
