KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Most brands start with a product. infinité started with a problem. The new Malaysian brand made its debut at HIPSALONS, Menara KEN TTDI, Kuala Lumpur, with its first two products: the infinité Anti-Dandruff Scalp Renewal Shampoo (300ml) and the infinité Scalp Renewal Serum (90ml). Built on the philosophy of "Ingredients With Intention", infinité takes a deliberately different approach to personal care: start with a real problem, understand it deeply, and develop a product in which every ingredient has a clear reason for being there.

Limitless by name, intentional by design

infinité, pronounced in-fi-ni-TAY, is named for a simple belief: problems never stop, and neither will the brand. The name stands for no limit to the problems infinité takes on, and no boundary to where it takes them. Scalp is where it begins; infinité is the name for everything that follows.

A question that became a problem statement

infinité began with a simple question from Dato' Sri Idris Jala, President and Chairman of PEMANDU Associates: "Why can't I find a shampoo that works as an anti-dandruff, nurtures healthy hair and is a conditioner?" Dandruff affects around half of adults worldwide¹, yet many people move from one product to the next without lasting relief. The team treated the question the way PEMANDU approaches every challenge: as a problem statement to understand, define and solve. The result was infinité's first product, designed for those seeking a holistic scalp-care solution.

Before a single ingredient was chosen, the team undertook a detailed diagnostic of the problem. It examined the root causes of dandruff, from excess oil to the Malassezia yeast and a weakened scalp barrier. It benchmarked 311 anti-dandruff products on the Malaysian market, reviewed the evidence behind each candidate active, and analysed more than 500 consumer videos to understand how people describe and experience dandruff, including flakes, itch, oiliness and the realities of living in a warm, humid climate. The conclusion was simple: the product should not be built around a marketing claim. The formula itself had to do the work.

"When our Chairman asked that question, we didn't hear a product request," said Larvin Rengasamy, Managing Director, Aeternia Sdn. Bhd. "We heard a problem statement. 'Ingredients With Intention' is our answer: every ingredient earns its place, we tell you what's inside and how much, and we keep the routine to the steps the scalp actually needs."

We rarely talk about it. So we listened. Dandruff may be common, but living with it is personal. Research has linked it to poorer mental health, appearance anxiety and lower quality of life². For some, it means managing an itchy scalp through long, humid days under a hijab. For others, it means the self-consciousness of visible flakes, the demands of daily styling, or wondering what repeated product use is doing to their scalp. And for a growing number of ingredient-conscious consumers, choosing scalp care means looking past marketing claims to understand what each ingredient is there to do.

Different lives. Different concerns. One shared need: scalp care that fits into everyday life, takes the problem seriously and gives people greater clarity about what they put on their scalp. That is where infinité begins: Ingredients With Intention.

Ingredients With Intention: three commitments

  1. A reason for every ingredient. Every ingredient has a role the brand can explain.
  2. What's inside, and how much. infinité publishes the percentages of its headline actives, giving consumers greater visibility into what they are actually putting on their scalp.
  3. A routine kept short. Two products, one simple scalp ritual: cleanse, then replenish.

A scalp-first ritual: cleanse, then replenish

Step 1: infinité Anti-Dandruff Scalp Renewal Shampoo (300ml). A gentle cleanser for oily scalps, made for everyday use, with Triple Action Care for dandruff control, sebum balance and scalp barrier support. Its headline actives include:

  • Piroctone Olamine — 0.7% for dandruff control
  • Ceramide Complex — 0.5% for scalp barrier support
  • Niacinamide — 2.0% for scalp care and barrier support
  • Menthol — 0.7% for a cooling feel
  • Peppermint Oil — 0.7% for freshness and cooling

Supporting ingredients, including Zinc PCA, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, D-Panthenol and Sodium Hyaluronate, help balance oil, soothe the scalp and add hydration, while a built-in conditioning system leaves hair feeling smooth and less frizzy.

Step 2: infinité Scalp Renewal Serum (90ml). A lightweight, targeted leave-on serum, applied to the scalp after washing and designed to extend scalp care between washes. Its Dual Renewal Complex combines barrier-supporting and biome-balancing actives:

  • Niacinamide — 4.0% for scalp care and barrier support
  • Ceramide Complex — 0.5% for scalp barrier support
  • Piroctone Olamine — 0.5% for dandruff control
  • Prebiotics — 1.0% to support a balanced scalp microbiome
  • Sweet Almond Protein — 1.0% for conditioning
  • Menthol — 0.3% for a cooling finish

The formula is further supported by Centella Asiatica and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, two soothing ingredients selected to help calm and comfort the scalp, complementing the serum's broader focus on scalp renewal and barrier support. Applied directly to the scalp after washing, the serum is designed to be left on, no rinsing required.

Together, the two products create a deliberately simple ritual: Cleanse + Replenish. Two products. No unnecessary steps. From transforming nations and businesses to building a consumer brand infinité is owned and developed by Aeternia Sdn. Bhd., a PEMANDU Capital portfolio company focused on consumer-led product innovation and brand development.

Both infinité products were developed in Malaysia, combining consumer insight by Aeternia and formulation expertise and local manufacturing by Intramiles Sdn Bhd, a halal- and GMP-certified manufacturer, in which PEMANDU Capital acquired a majority stake in March 2026.

The team developed infinité using PEMANDU Group's 8-Step Big Fast Results Methodology©, moving from a clearly defined problem to evidence, and from evidence to a solution for an issue affecting more than two billion people worldwide. Built on the Group's experience in turning ambition into action, the approach took infinité from a single question to a fully developed Malaysian consumer brand within months.

"Big Fast Results starts with a clear goal and the discipline to make it happen. We brought that approach into a space we experience personally as consumers. With infinité, we saw an opportunity to bring together consumer insight, Malaysian manufacturing expertise and purposeful product development to create products we would be proud to use ourselves," said Leon Jala, Group CEO, PEMANDU Group of Companies.

The first chapter

At today's launch, media and guests experience the brand through product demonstrations, scalp scans and hair-wash sessions at HIPSALONS.

"A seed is small by design. Its potential is not," said Larvin. "Dandruff is the first problem infinité sets out to solve. It will not be the last."

Scalp care is where the brand begins. Dandruff is the first problem it has chosen to solve. The philosophy is intended to go much further: every future product should begin with a real consumer pain point, followed by the same discipline of understanding the problem, choosing ingredients with purpose and making a promise the formula can support.

Behind the brand stands the strength of PEMANDU Associates and PEMANDU Capital.  Aeternia benefits from the Group's transformation expertise, strategic support and wider business network. Born in Malaysia and built for Southeast Asia, infinité's ambition is to work with the Group's global network to bring the brand to everyone, everywhere.

Collaboration supports EU CRA readiness and cybersecurity planning for industrial and edge AI applications.

TAIPEI, Oct. 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Advantech, a global leader in IoT intelligent systems and embedded platforms, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with DEKRA, a global testing, inspection and certification organization, to strengthen cooperation on industrial cybersecurity compliance.

As the European Union's Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is implemented in stages, manufacturers of industrial equipment and edge AI products need to address cybersecurity requirements earlier in product development. The partnership combines Advantech's industrial computing and application experience with DEKRA's cybersecurity testing and international certification expertise. It aims to help end customers and system integrators plan for EU CRA requirements and international standards such as IEC 62443, reduce compliance risks and avoid delays caused by late-stage changes.

Stan Zurkiewicz, CEO of DEKRA, said: "Digital trust is essential for industrial innovation to succeed in global markets. As AI and connected technologies become integral to manufacturing, energy and transportation, companies need verifiable evidence of safety and cybersecurity to build confidence in new technologies. Our collaboration with Advantech combines its industry experience with DEKRA's independent third-party testing and certification expertise. DEKRA's role is to provide independent assurance, helping companies navigate evolving international requirements and build trust in new technologies."

Miller Chang, President of Advantech's Embedded Sector, said at the signing ceremony: "As edge AI advances, customers increasingly need to consider compliance from the outset of product design. By combining Advantech's industrial computing and edge AI expertise with DEKRA's global testing and certification expertise, we aim to help customers identify regulatory requirements earlier, reduce compliance risks and shorten time to market, bringing trustworthy edge AI innovations to global markets more efficiently."

Planning for Cybersecurity Compliance from the Design Stage

The collaboration aims to help manufacturers consider cybersecurity and compliance requirements at an early stage of product development, drawing on DEKRA's independent testing and certification expertise. It will help customers identify regulatory and technical requirements across markets, plan assessment and certification pathways, and address potential cybersecurity gaps during development.

The scope includes independent technical assessments, documentation reviews, certification readiness assessments and cybersecurity testing to help manufacturers identify and address potential compliance gaps. Early planning can help reduce the time and costs associated with late-stage design changes and establish a clear compliance process from product concept and development through testing and market deployment.

First Milestone: AFE-E630 Security Functions Meet IEC 62443-4-2 SL2 Requirements

As an initial outcome of the collaboration, Advantech's AFE-E630 industrial edge system has passed an independent assessment by DEKRA and received an Attestation of Conformity (AoC). Designed for commercial and industrial energy storage management applications, the AFE-E630 has security functions that meet the relevant Security Level 2 (SL2) requirements of IEC 62443-4-2:2019 within the assessed scope. The assessment results provide a verified basis for product cybersecurity in these applications and a reference for customers' subsequent product integration and system-level compliance assessments.

Exploring Further Applications in Edge AI and Industry

Beyond existing industrial applications, Advantech and DEKRA plan to extend their cooperation to AI-enabled industrial systems, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, drones and other safety-critical industrial applications, as well as energy and transportation applications.

As edge AI is integrated into physical equipment, product safety, functional safety and cybersecurity need to be considered together. The companies will combine Advantech's edge computing platforms and application experience with DEKRA's testing, cybersecurity and functional safety expertise to support the safety and trustworthiness of next-generation intelligent devices.

Through the MOU, Advantech and DEKRA will continue to develop their technical cooperation, helping customers address market-specific compliance requirements and prepare industrial and edge AI products for international deployment.
