Chinese home appliances with customized functions catering to the needs of customers from different countries have won the favor of overseas buyers at the 140th edition of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, in Guangzhou City of south China's Guangdong Province.
At the exhibition, Chinese manufacturing, represented by the smart home appliance sector, has moved beyond selling standalone devices to offering integrated, end-to-end solutions tailored to overseas markets, a shift that has been well received by overseas buyers.
At this year's edition, Chinese green home products featuring smart capabilities and scenario-based applications have become a new favorite for overseas buyers.
"Nobody wants to, for example, to control air conditioner just by a remote controller. Everybody wants to have at least some smart functions such as the product by itself regulates and controls energy efficiency, minimizes consumption of electricity," said Dmytro Popravka, a Ukrainian buyer.
To make sure that that their products are adaptable to global markets, many Chinese manufacturers have localized their products based on language systems and consumer habits in different countries.
We have developed various application solutions for the lift-up and down cabinets of our dishwashers and upgraded the voice-control functionality for clients in different countries, meeting the needs of customers from 160 countries and regions worldwide," said a Chinese exhibitor.
Opened to visitors on Thursday, the fair serves as a barometer and wind vane of China's foreign trade, with this year's edition marking its 70th anniversary, while featuring innovation, intelligence, greater specialization and higher quality.
