China and the European Union (EU) are fully capable of managing trade differences through dialogue, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said on Tuesday after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi concluded his Eurasia tour.

During his Eurasia tour from Oct. 14 to Oct. 20, Wang, as the special representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping, attended the Seventh Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and paid visits to Azerbaijan, Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria.

"The most important message conveyed by Foreign Minister Wang's visit is that trust is the cornerstone of peace, friendship is a valuable asset, cooperation is a solid driving force, and partnership is a common goal," Mao said.

Mao cited Wang as saying that China stays committed to building partnerships rather than alliances while promoting dialogue over confrontation. State-to-state relations, regional cooperation and China-Europe relations can proceed in parallel and reinforce one another, with commitment to partnership remaining at the core of all three, Wang said.

"China-EU relations are generally sound and stable. Differences on economic and trade issues have emerged in the course of the continuous development of cooperation between the two sides and can be fully resolved through dialogue, and they should not affect the broader landscape of China-EU relations," Mao said.

"China and the EU share broad common interests as both advocate multilateralism, uphold the central, leading role of the United Nations, and are willing to resolve international and regional disputes through dialogue and political means. China and the EU should respect each other, appreciate each other, achieve success together, and jointly shoulder their international responsibility for world peace and development," she added.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with Israel's Channel 14 on Monday that he had instructed the Israeli military and relevant agencies to topple the Iranian government.

Netanyahu said he had given the directives to the Israel Defense Forces, Israeli intelligence and special services (Mossad), and the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate to overthrow the Iranian authorities.

Speaking about the upcoming parliamentary elections in Israel, Netanyahu claimed that if the opposition comes to power after the vote, it could lead to thousands of Palestinians entering Israel, posing a threat to the country.

Also on that day, Netanyahu posted on social media that he had spoken by phone with U.S. President Donald Trump after receiving Trump's support for his participation in Israel's parliamentary elections.

The two sides will join forces to completely eliminate the threat from Iran, Netanyahu said. He called on Israeli voters to cast their ballots for his Likud Party in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Israelis are set to vote on Oct. 27, in the first national elections since October 2023.
