SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 20, 2026--

Orvera AI, an agentic AI platform for enterprise customer experience, today added Forward Deployed Ops Experts to its Forward Deployment Teams.

Every enterprise deployment will now pair two specialists from the first scoping session through go-live and ongoing operations: a Forward Deployed Engineer, responsible for integrations and technical execution, and a Forward Deployed Ops Expert, responsible for how the contact center actually operates.

The model addresses a problem Orvera sees repeatedly in enterprise AI deployments: an AI agent can work technically and still fail operationally.

"Forward deployed engineering is the right way to put AI into an enterprise, but customer experience requires a second kind of expertise," said Ali Merchant, Chief Executive Officer of Orvera AI. "The engineer makes the agent work. The operator makes it work on a Monday morning with a full queue."

What the floor knows

Forward deployed engineering puts technical teams close to the customer's systems, workflows and business problems. In customer experience, much of what decides whether an AI deployment succeeds has never been written into a specification. It lives on the contact center floor, in the knowledge behind queue behavior, service levels, dispositions, escalations, adherence, quality scorecards, compliance requirements and the exceptions experienced operators handle every day.

Orvera's Forward Deployed Ops Experts bring that operational knowledge directly into the AI deployment team. Every Ops Expert is qualified by real contact center operating experience, including responsibility for a queue, grading conversations against quality rubrics and accountability for service-level performance.

Scoring what the AI actually did

Orvera is applying the same operating model to how enterprise AI performance is measured.

A conversation can look successful in a transcript while the underlying work remains incomplete: a credit was never applied, a case was not updated, the wrong disposition was selected or a promised callback was never scheduled.

Orvera therefore evaluates both what the AI said and what the AI did. System-of-record evidence can be evaluated alongside the relevant conversation to determine whether the intended business action was actually completed.

The Forward Deployed Engineer connects that evidence across enterprise systems. The Forward Deployed Ops Expert determines which records, fields, outcomes and operational signals actually prove the work was done.

How the two specialists split the work

The Forward Deployed Engineer owns the integration surface, event flow, technical orchestration and failure handling.

The Forward Deployed Ops Expert owns the operational layer: which systems, objects and fields prove completion, what the customer's existing quality scorecard measures, which intents carry compliance consequences, how escalations should work and what the floor does today when a case stalls.

During scoping, the Ops Expert also identifies the system-of-record owners and operational dependencies required to validate outcomes, so those inputs reach the deployment early.

The Ops Expert also leads operational calibration. Orvera can translate a customer's existing evaluation forms into automated AI scorecards and calibrate those scorecards against real conversations and the customer's own quality analysts. Calibration can be repeated as scorecards and operational requirements evolve. The AI learns the enterprise's own definition of quality and applies it consistently.

"Every Ops Expert has owned a queue and answered for a service level," Merchant said. "That knowledge has traditionally lived on the contact center floor. We believe it belongs inside the AI deployment team from day one."

The Forward Deployed Ops Expert model is effective immediately across Orvera AI enterprise deployments.

About Orvera AI

Orvera AI is an agentic AI platform for enterprise customer experience that Orvera builds, deploys, and runs as a managed service. Its omnichannel AI agents resolve conversations across voice, chat, and digital channels, with deep specialization in Voice AI, while Agent Assist and AI Auto QA, at 100% coverage, support the human agents who handle the rest. Orvera is model-agnostic, orchestrating third-party models in its governed layer on the customer's existing stack, so enterprises stay on the frontier without lock-in. Full deployment lands in three to six weeks. Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Orvera serves enterprises running high-interaction-volume customer operations, and is SOC 2 Type II certified, HIPAA compliant, and GDPR compliant. There was the usual strong security presence around the Parc des Princes on Tuesday as Paris Saint-Germain hosted Barcelona in a Champions League showcase against the backdrop of violent unrest across France.

PSG and Barcelona head the standings, though Liverpool or even surprising Stuttgart could end Tuesday on top of the table.

The game in Paris takes place in a very different context to when PSG beat Manchester City 4-2 away last week.

What began in France as protests against school conditions has expanded to include a wide range of other groups and causes. There have been violent clashes, fires and looting.

An emergency meeting with top government officials on Monday confirmed PSG-Barcelona and other soccer matches in European competitions could go ahead after the possibility of calling off games and other big events was discussed.

Serhou Guirassy scored twice but Borussia Dortmund wasted plenty more chances in a 2-1 win over Azerbaijan's Sabah.

It wasn't the sort of convincing victory the German team was hoping for, after last week saw a loss to Bodø/Glimt before a draw at Union Berlin which allowed Bayern Munich to take the Bundesliga top spot off Dortmund.

Pavel Kacor's leaping volley in the 90th minute earned Slavia Prague a 2-2 draw with Fenerbahce, which had been leading 2-0 early on before a defensive blunder by Mattéo Guendouzi let the Czech side back into the game.

Liverpool could go top with a win over Villarreal if PSG and Barcelona draw, or on goal difference if Andoni Iraola's team can rout its Spanish opposition.

Stuttgart has won both of its games but Atletico Madrid will be sterner opposition for the German team.

City aims to get back on track after last week's PSG loss when it faces Greece's AEK Athens, while troubled Napoli seeks a first point against Norway's Bodø/Glimt.

Also, Roma plays Slovan Bratislava and Porto hosts PSV Eindhoven.
