SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 23, 2026--

Infinity (Infinity Artificial Intelligence Institute), an automated AI research company building the software layer that makes any AI chip inference-ready, today announced two key hires to its engineering team. Aditya Om, a former senior software engineer at Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), joins Infinity as Staff Inference Optimization Engineer, and Elliot Arledge, whose CUDA and LLM coding courses have taught skills to more than two million people, joins as Member of Technical Staff.

“We’re hiring engineers to solve the greatest engineering challenges of our generation,” said Jeremy Nixon, founder and CEO of Infinity. “Aditya built inference stacks inside Meta Superintelligence Labs’ silicon program. Elliot taught millions of engineers how kernels actually work. Now they’re building automated AI research systems that create stronger AI models and inference frameworks than humans have ever built, so that every chip can run frontier AI."

Om and Arledge join Infinity at a pivotal time, as the company scales Ignition, its autonomous AI agent that compresses years of chip software development into days. Ignition’s coding-agent controller autonomously bootstraps every layer of a chip’s software stack.

Before joining Infinity, Om led development of the software stack for MSL’s in-house training and inference chips, built the collective communications software stack for Lightmatter’s Passage and where he published Envise in Nature, and worked as an IoT systems design engineer at Intel. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

“Joining the team was a no-brainer,” said Om. “Inference has taken the world by storm. We have a pivotal shift in front of us, touching all areas of our lives, similar to the internet in the mid-90s. Infinity's mission of automating research in inference optimization so that the software layer is shaped to the custom hardware is the groundbreaking work I am passionate about.”

Arledge is a self-taught kernel engineer and CUDA expert who, at 22, has built coding courses that have taught millions of people to train LLMs from scratch & optimize CUDA kernels. “Chips are the core bottleneck of our time, and that’s exactly why I wanted to join Jeremy and Infinity,” said Arledge. “It takes a stubborn team of highly skilled, highly coordinated, ambitious people to pull this off.”

Infinity is actively expanding its engineering team, seeking the best AI infrastructure and engineering talent to build the future of recursive self-improving AI systems. Contact careers@infinity.inc to learn more.

INFINITY.INC FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does Infinity do?
Infinity builds the software layer that makes any AI chip inference-ready. Its autonomous AI agent, Ignition, generates and optimizes inference software for new silicon in days, not years.

What is Ignition and how does it work?
Ignition is Infinity's AI research agent that autonomously writes, tests and optimizes the low-level compute kernels that determine how efficiently a chip runs AI models. It continuously improves through a real-world feedback loop, without human kernel engineers.

Why can't new AI chips compete with NVIDIA out of the box?
NVIDIA's CUDA ecosystem represents two decades of inference software development that rival chipmakers can't quickly replicate. Infinity closes that gap by automating the software development itself.

How fast can Infinity bring a new chip to production-ready AI inference?
In a published case study with d-Matrix, Infinity reached 92% of a new chip's theoretical peak performance within 10 hours of first hardware access, with three frontier models running end-to-end within 10 days.

Which chip companies is Infinity working with?
Infinity is currently in active partnership discussions with multiple major chip companies. Infinity's first live design partnership is with d-Matrix, whose Corsair chip runs production inference via the Infinity d-Matrix Cloud. Infinity also recently announced a collaboration with HP Inc. The two companies have been working together to use Infinity Autoresearch to optimize the NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super model running on the HP ZGX Fury powered by NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip.

Who founded Infinity?
Jeremy Nixon founded Infinity. He is a former Google Brain researcher and co-founder of AGI House, a San Francisco AI community that has launched hundreds of startups.

Is Infinity hiring?
Yes. Infinity recently added Aditya Om (ex-Meta Superintelligence Labs) and Elliot Arledge (CUDA and LLM educator) to its engineering team. Infinity continues to hire Silicon Valley’s top research and inference-library engineers to build the future of recursive self-improvement (RSI). Openings are posted at infinity.inc/careers.

The chief executive of Six Flags says the company will install seat belts on the Georgia roller coaster from which a rider fell to his death earlier this month. The company's rides with similar restraints will also get the safety upgrade.

The theme park operator announced the extra safeguard less than two weeks after 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem of Atlanta died after being ejected from his seat on the Goliath coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia.

“We are reinforcing safety precautions at our parks and taking additional measures, including adding seat belts on Goliath and other coasters with a similar restraint,” John Reilly, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, said in a statement Friday.

Goliath remains shut down while state and local officials investigate the Oct. 12 death.

Reilly didn't specify which other Six Flags coasters will get seat belts. But it has temporarily closed eight additional roller coasters at five other parks in the U.S. and Canada. Those rides all share the same manufacturer and a similar restraint system.

Six Flags hasn't said when those coasters are expected to reopen. Reilly's statement said Six Flags has enlisted independent engineers and inspectors to review safety procedures for all rides at its theme parks.

Investigators haven't said what went wrong on the Georgia coaster. Witnesses said they saw Kariem rise up out of his seat and fall headfirst back into the cart before being ejected. Some people who rode Goliath before him that day said they had concerns about its restraints.

All nine of the Six Flags coasters taken offline were manufactured by the Swiss company Bolliger & Mabillard. They also feature similar clamshell restraints that sit at the top of a vertical bar between each rider's knees. The bar locks a padded restraint into place over the rider's lap and upper legs.

The U.S. patent granted to Bolliger & Mabillard for the restraint system in 2001 says it's designed to make each rider feel “that he is seated on a flying carpet or that he is at the controls of a kind of flying scooter, while still guaranteeing optimum security.”

Following the death in Georgia, non-Six Flags theme parks SeaWorld Orlando in Florida and La Ronde in Montreal, Canada, also temporarily closed one roller coaster apiece that use clamshell restraints.

SeaWorld reopened its Mako coaster Tuesday after it had been offline for a week. The Associated Press emailed the company Saturday asking if seat belts or other safety upgrades were planned for the coaster.

The AP also emailed a spokesperson for La Ronde seeking an update on its shuttered coaster.

In addition to Goliath in Georgia, eight coasters remain closed at Six Flags parks in Gurnee, Illinois; Jackson Township, New Jersey; Charlotte, North Carolina; Mason, Ohio; and Vaughan, Ontario.
