Located at 27555 Groesbeck Hwy, near I‑696 and I‑94, the facility increases Ryder’s capacity to support manufacturers, automotive suppliers, distributors, and transportation providers throughout Macomb County and the broader Detroit region.

“The Detroit area remains a major manufacturing market in the country,” said Tom Havens, president of Fleet Management Solutions for Ryder. “This investment allows us to better support the businesses that keep products, parts, and materials moving throughout the region. By adding capacity closer to our customers, we can provide greater access to maintenance and rental services that help customers reduce downtime, improve fleet availability, and keep operations running efficiently.”

Supporting Michigan’s Industrial Economy

Manufacturers and suppliers across Metro Detroit face increasing pressure to maintain production schedules while navigating evolving supply chain demands. Reliable transportation equipment and maintenance support play a critical role in keeping those operations moving.

The updated facility expands Ryder’s service capacity in a strategic industrial corridor, providing businesses with greater access to rental vehicles, preventive maintenance, and fleet support closer to where they operate.

Facility Capabilities and Customer Amenities

The Roseville location features nine truck workstations across four drive‑thru bays and one-half bay, supported by a two‑lane fuel island that is accessible to customers 24/7. Customers also have access to commercial truck rental services, RyderGyde fleet technology for real‑time vehicle and maintenance insights, and a self‑service check‑in kiosk designed to speed service transactions and enhance the overall experience.

The facility’s design prioritizes quick turnarounds and consistent uptime, using space, equipment, and tech‑enabled tools that streamline communication and diagnostics. The site offers two acres of dedicated parking and the hours of operation for the shop are 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET.

In addition to on‑site rental services, customers can also reserve commercial vehicles online through the Ryder Rental Platform, a self‑service digital tool that provides real‑time vehicle availability, streamlined booking, and centralized rental management across Ryder’s nationwide network. Online reservations are available at www.ryder.com/en-us/rent-trucks.

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Two upcoming concerts by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in Indonesia will go ahead despite opposition from the country’s top Muslim clerical body over the singer’s past support for Israel, the organizer said Tuesday.

Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim-majority nation, does not have formal diplomatic relations with Israel and has long been a strong supporter of Palestinians.

The Indonesian Ulema Council, the country’s most influential body of Islamic scholars, demanded on Oct. 10 that organizers cancel Bocelli’s performances at the UNESCO-listed Borobudur Temple on Oct. 31 and in Jakarta on Nov. 3.

The council cited Bocelli’s past support for Israel, including his participation in a 2010 fundraiser in Los Angeles for the Israel Defense Forces and a 2022 concert in Tel Aviv.

Despite the objection, Bocelli's concert promoter Shoemaker Live said the concerts would take place as planned. It argued that they would support Indonesia's tourism and culture sectors, and that the decision was made in consultation with government officials and other stakeholders.

“Maestro Bocelli stands on the side of humanity and wishes to share hope for peace, especially with those who are unable to experience it today,” Shoemaker Live founder Prajna Murdaya said in a statement.

Murdaya said Bocelli is expected to dedicate a song during each performance to humanity and world peace, particularly for children and communities living amid conflict.

He said the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, established in 2011, supports education, community development and assistance programs for vulnerable communities around the world.

The organizer also announced a fundraising campaign that includes a pledge to donate 100,000 pairs of shoes to children in the Holy Land and other war-affected regions.

The religious council on Tuesday reaffirmed its opposition to the concerts. They could "hurt the feelings of many Indonesians who strongly support Palestinians,” said Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim, the council's chair for foreign affairs.

The performances in Indonesia are part of Bocelli’s Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour.
