ESG Achievement Awards 2025/2026 Winners Announced Celebrating 43 Visionary Leadership in Sustainability

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 27 October 2026 – The Institute of ESG & Benchmark (IESGB) hosted the ESG Achievement Awards 2025/2026 Presentation Ceremony cum Luncheon, where it unveiled this year's winners. Co-organised by the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA) and continuously supported by ESG Data Sponsor, Hang Seng Indexes Limited (HSIL), this year's Awards recognised 43 awardees and commendations, including 27 organisations as well as individual honourees, celebrating practical ESG progress and measurable impact.

In just over half a decade, the ESG Achievement Awards has become one of Hong Kong's leading ESG awards programmes, recognising outstanding sustainability efforts across both the corporate and non-profit sectors. This year attracted strong participation from organisations of different sizes and industries, reflecting the growing momentum behind ESG leadership and action.

Anchored by the theme "Shaping a Resilient Future Through People and ESG", the Awards shine a light on the role people play in turning ESG ambition into lasting progress. As organisations navigate an increasingly complex operating environment, the Awards recognise those creating long-term value through leadership, employee engagement and meaningful stakeholder collaboration. They honour organisations that place people at the heart of their ESG strategies, advancing inclusive growth, adaptability and responsible business practices for a more resilient future.

Mr Paul Pong, Co-founder of IESGB, said, "Real business resilience always comes back to people. This year's theme, 'Shaping a Resilient Future Through People and ESG,' reflects our belief that ESG is far more than compliance—it becomes a true competitive advantage when practical teams take ownership. Aligning with Hong Kong's 2026 Policy Address to foster an international talent and innovation hub, cultivating leadership and leveraging technology like AI will enable us to amplify ESG impact, turning vision into measurable progress."

Mr Wilson Kwok, Co-founder of IESGB, said, "Sustainable success relies on responsible leadership, governance, and most importantly, people. Through the launch of ESG Care—which already sees 76 pioneering companies joining in its inaugural year—we aim to make ESG implementation accessible, particularly for SMEs. Furthermore, by partnering with the Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) and Hong Kong University (HKU) SPACE for the Certified ESG Professional® (CESGP®) programme , we remain dedicated to nurturing a new generation of ESG talent, helping organisations embed sustainability and deliver lasting value."

Mr Joseph H. L. Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, HKSAR Government, highlighted "Hong Kong is committed to being Asia's green finance hub. Under the unique 'One Country, Two Systems' principal, we connect international capital with green projects. Through policy grants, digital green bonds, and green FinTech, the HKSAR Government will continue driving economic transformation and shaping a sustainable future for the region and beyond."

Mr Sammy, S. K. Yeung, JP, Commissioner for Climate Change, Environment and Ecology Bureau, HKSAR Government, emphasised "Hong Kong is fully aligned with national decarbonisation goals under the 15th Five-Year Plan to achieve carbon neutrality before 2050. The HKSAR Government is making every effort to drive low-carbon and energy transition, while also relying on enterprises to turn ESG principles into action by combining technology, capital, and human resources to build a green future."

Mr Vincent Pang, Chairman of the Jury, shared, "ESG is not about strategy or compliance, it is about people. It takes strong leaders, capable teams and the commitment to put ESG into every business decision, every single day. The meaningful progress demonstrated by organisations across industries shows that these efforts are not only good for business but are also helping to build a more resilient future for all of us."

This year, we are proud to confer the Honorary ESG Pioneering Organisation Award on Community Leap, in recognition of its contributions to advancing sustainability and community engagement in Hong Kong. Selected by IESGB, Community Leap has distinguished itself through years of work connecting businesses, community organisations and the public. Through its initiatives in food rescue, environmental education, waste reduction and social inclusion, it has encouraged broader participation in sustainability efforts while helping to strengthen ties across the community.

IESGB drives innovation in ESG commitment and delivery. The annual awards connect sector leaders to pioneer new standards, share best practices, and achieve measurable impact. We welcome greater engagement in the coming year and will continue to partner with companies and NGOs to advance ESG values across the community.
