AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 29, 2026--

The activation brought large-scale digital advertising to one of the country's most prominent international sporting events, demonstrating how brands can extend their reach beyond traditional advertising placements and engage audiences around major live events.

The Austin appearance followed HELI-D's recent New York City debut, which featured two flights over the Hudson River near Chelsea Piers and the Statue of Liberty, including an evening showcase featuring content from Byron Allen's Allen Media Group. Together, the activations mark significant milestones in HELI-D's expansion into the U.S. advertising market.

"Formula 1 brings together an incredible audience, and Austin provided the perfect setting to demonstrate how digital advertising can move beyond traditional billboards and into the sky," said Simon Powell, Co-Founder and CEO of HELI-D. "Following our New York City debut, this latest activation demonstrates how brands can use our technology to create memorable experiences around some of the world's biggest events. We're excited to continue expanding our presence in the U.S. market."

Unlike traditional billboards fixed to buildings or roadside structures, HELI-D's technology takes digital out-of-home advertising into the sky, creating a mobile, large-scale display capable of showcasing dynamic video content above high-visibility locations and major events.

With recent activations tied to major advertising, entertainment and sporting events, HELI-D is introducing a new platform for digital out-of-home advertising, offering brands the ability to reach audiences in high-profile environments through aerial video displays.

Colorado backup quarterback Julian “JuJu” Lewis suffered a medical emergency at the school's athletic facility on Wednesday and was taken to the hospital, his father said on social media.

T. Carlton Lewis posted in a statement on the platform X on Thursday morning that Lewis was “recovering and thankful to his medical team, teammates, and Colorado fans for their prayers and support.”

He added: “Please respect Julian and the Lewis family’s privacy.” No other information was provided.

Colorado issued a statement saying the school “extends our full support to JuJu and his family through this medical emergency.

“He remains in the thoughts of every CU player, coach, and staff member and we will continue to assist in any way we can in his full recovery,” the statement said. “His health and well-being remain our top priority during this time.”

Julian Lewis' teammate, wide receiver Joseph Williams, also posted about Lewis on social media: “Praying for you 10 I love you man God has your back twin."

Williams said in another post: "Y’all are so quick to judge us but don’t know what we may go through, athletes mental health matters also!!! God bless everyone.”

A highly touted recruit, Lewis, who's in his second year at Colorado, opened the season as the starter before coach Deion Sanders turned the offense over to Isaac Wilson. Lewis has thrown for 733 yards and six touchdowns this season, along with two interceptions.

Lewis turned in a record-setting afternoon against Weber State last month when he threw four touchdown passes in the first half and ran for another.

Colorado plays Kansas State on Saturday.
