With construction and setup underway across venues for the upcoming China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, an AI agent based on multi-agent orchestration has been introduced for telecommunications support at the event.

The AI agent enables 24/7 uninterrupted monitoring of CIIE venues, transforming the traditional model of network support for major events — which relied on manual screen monitoring, on-site inspections and experience-based handling — and shifting telecommunications services from "post-incident repair" to "pre-incident early warning."

We found that crowds tend to gather in the consumer goods area and the agricultural food area. In the past, we would have on-site staff conduct inspections and back-end personnel make adjustments, which took at least 30 minutes to resolve. Now, with the AI agent, we can adjust network resources in real time," said Dai Gaojie, head of mobile network support for Shanghai Telecom at CIIE.

This year, 1,400 latest-generation Wi-Fi 7 devices have been upgraded and installed across CIIE venues, enabling full 5G-A 10-gigabit network coverage capable of supporting up to 200,000 users online simultaneously, meeting the demands of scenarios such as HD live streaming and online business negotiations.

The CIIE, one of the world's largest trade fairs, will host its 9th edition from November 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

Attendees of the fifth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) have pledged their further efforts to persistently advance full and rigorous Party self-governance, saying the meeting made systematic arrangements in this regard and underscored the Party's resolve to maintain its vitality and strengthen itself in the new era.

Held in Beijing from Monday to Thursday, the plenary session deliberated on and adopted a resolution on persevering with full and rigorous Party self-governance, a move of great significance for consolidating the Party's governing position and fulfilling its mission.

"Persistently advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance is an inevitable requirement for upholding the Party's purpose of serving the people, preserving the Party's advanced nature and integrity, and consolidating its long-term governing position. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has advanced full and rigorous Party self-governance with firm resolve and unprecedented intensity, achieving historic and groundbreaking accomplishments. These achievements have fully demonstrated the decisive significance of the "two establishments" (the establishment of both Comrade Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and the guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era) and the truth and practical power of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," said Xu Qin, secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee.

"The fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee adopted the Resolution on Certain Major Issues concerning Persevering with Full and Rigorous Party Self-Governance, setting out new arrangements, strategies and requirements for Party building to keep with the times. The resolution offers a profound explanation of the political, theoretical and practical logic behind the principles that governing the country requires first governing the Party, governing the Party must be done rigorously, and a strong Party leads to a strong country. It demonstrates the Party's confidence in its ability to accomplish historic undertakings and points to a bright future for the steady and sustained development of socialism with Chinese characteristics," said Yu Hongqiu, deputy secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and deputy director of the National Commission of Supervision.

Attendees said that the strategic arrangements for persevering with full and rigorous Party self-governance set out at the plenary session reflects the proactive efforts of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core to strengthen the Party and the country.

"The plenary session put forward new arrangements and requirements for building a full and rigorous Party self-governance system and strengthening Party building with political development at the forefront. The meeting stressed the need to guide officials toward fostering a correct understanding of what it means to perform well and acting accordingly. Building on the results of recent study and education campaigns, the arrangements aim to establish regular, long-term mechanisms, strengthen cadre management and supervision, and make better use of measures including disciplinary education and constraints. They underscore the importance of practical work and tangible results while also conveying a powerful message about taking responsibility and getting things done with real efforts," said Yin Hong, secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee.

"We will resolutely implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech, consciously align ourselves with the plenary session’s new requirements and arrangements, and take a clear stand and concrete actions to ensure that Party governance stays on the right track. We will maintain a strict approach, improve the system for full and rigorous Party self-governance, and continue to focus on cultivating sound work style, strengthening institutional development, enhancing education and management, and taking preventive measures against minor issues. We will incentivize officials to take responsibility and deliver results, and use the high-quality Party building within government organs and central institutions to promote the high-quality development of the Party's external work," said Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Attendees pledged to make their further efforts to advance full and rigorous Party self-governance and strengthen the Party in the new era.

"When I return to the village, my first priority will be to share the key messages from the meeting with my fellow villagers. I will also lead by example, strengthen the village Party branch, and ensure that Party members and village affairs are managed with discipline. We will uphold openness and transparency and do things by the rules. With good Party conduct and a good work style, we will secure our collective assets and drive up incomes for the people. We will strengthen Party building, strictly observe the rules, and work solidly, using a clean and upright environment to safeguard the village's high-quality development and live up to the trust of the organization and our fellow villagers," said Zhong Baijun, Party committee secretary of Xijidang Village in Jiangsu Province, and a non-voting delegate to the plenary session.

"This plenary session made strategic arrangements for persistently advancing full and rigorous Party self-governance. As a scientific researcher in the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force, I must bear in mind the political requirements of absolute loyalty, absolute purity, and absolute reliability, adhere to conducting research for combat, and answer well the questions of 'for whom do we conduct research and why do we conduct research.' I will focus all my energy on studying and planning for war, continuously enhance my capacity for scientific and technological innovation, and contribute my wisdom and strength to building a world-class strategic service," said Li Xianyu, a researcher of a Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Rocket Force unit.

"Zhejiang will always keep in mind the General Secretary's earnest instructions. We will firmly support 'two establishments' and ensure the "two upholds" (upholding General Secretary Xi Jinping's core position on the CPC Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and upholding the Central Committee's authority and its centralized, unified leadership). We will thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the fifth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, advance the 'Double Eight Strategy', and continue to use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to to build cohesion and inner strength. We will also deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building, promote high-quality development and construction of a demonstration zone for common prosperity, striving to write a new chapter in Zhejiang’s modernization drive with Chinese characteristics," said Wang Hao, secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee.

The "Double Eight Strategy" identifies eight strengths that Xi drew up for Zhejiang back in 2003 when he acted as the provincial party chief there.

These are economic structure, geological position, industries, coordinated development of urban and rural areas, ecology, mountain and ocean resources, environment, and culture.
