CHENGDU, China, Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- A news report from Xinhuanet: From November 2 to 4, The Global Panda Partners Conference 2026 was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, bringing together hundreds of representatives from more than 30 countries and regions to discuss approaches to enhance wildlife conservation, advance green development, and promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations. As a proud member of Panda Partners community, Shudao Investment Group made a high-profile appearance at the conference, sharing its green development stories to an international audience.

At the main forum's Panda Partners Brand Showcase session, Chairman of Shudao Investment Group Zhang Sheng delivered the presentation "Starting in Tianfu, Embracing the World: Through the Bond of Giant Panda, Shudao Forges Paths across Mountains and Seas".

"The giant panda and the Shu Roads (ShuDao) are two world-renowned cultural icons of the Bashu region" Zhang said.

Named after the historic Shu Roads, Shudao Investment Group has grown into a diversified enterprise in recent years. Anchored in its three pillar industries of integrated transportation, energy and minerals, and industry-finance integration, the Group has cultivated a virtuous cycle where the core transportation business drives the pillar industries, which in turn feed back into and support the core business. As a result, the Group has been ranked among the Fortune Global 500 for five consecutive years.

Zhang emphasized that the Group will continuously uphold the corporate philosophy of green, open, and shared development, bringing giant panda stories to the world via its global projects and contributing its strength to building a Community of All Life on Earth.

Green development forms the bedrock of Shudao Investment Group's identity. Guided by the principle of "building roads into nature with a minimal footprint", the Group strives to balance infrastructure development with ecological preservation. For example, along the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway which passes through the Giant Panda National Park, dedicated wildlife corridors have been constructed for wildlife migration while nearly 400 hectares of native habitat have been restored. On the Leshan-Xichang Expressway, 3,269 rare plants under first and second-class national protection were successfully relocated through conservation translocation. For the Guangyuan-Mianyang Expressway, the Group optimized the route and invested extra funds to bypass ancient cypress grove over a millennium old to the greatest extent possible.

On the journey into overseas markets, Shudao Investment Group is leveraging its expertise in infrastructure development technology to actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, building a number of world-renowned mega-projects. Flagship projects such as the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge in Turkey, the Suez Canal Railway Swing Bridge in Egypt, and the Hålogaland Bridge in Norway have amazed the world, demonstrating the formidable strength of China Construction on the world stage.

Today, Shudao Investment Group boasts a business footprint spanning over 60 countries and regions, making steady strides toward building a modern, world-class enterprise with a global reach.

NINGBO, China, Nov. 4, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The "2026 Global Mayors Dialogue • Ningbo" is being held in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, from Nov. 2 to 5. Mayors and mayoral representatives from 20 cities in 15 countries and regions across five continents, along with representatives of international organizations and enterprises, have gathered in the city to explore opportunities for openness and deepen practical cooperation.

Participants included Wayne Brown, mayor of Auckland, New Zealand; Enrico Ricci, a representative of the mayor of Florence, Italy; Ahmed Wazeery, secretary-general of Suez Governorate, Egypt; and the mayors of three cities in Lebanon. Representatives of international organizations, including the United Nations Global Compact China and the BRICS New Development Bank, also attended.

Under the theme "Openness and Connectivity for Shared Opportunities," the event features a main mayoral dialogue, two scenario dialogues, and three activities focused on civilizational exchange and mutual learning. During the event, guests visited Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, the world's largest port by throughput, as well as Ningbo Yaji Logistics Co., Ltd., Ningbo PIA Automation Holding Corp., Peacebird Group, Dongqian Lake and the Old Bund. At the forefront of intelligent port logistics and in smart workshops where embodied robots are produced, they explored how cities can achieve high-level openness and identify future opportunities.

At the main venue, 14 cooperation projects were signed in areas including friendly exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, science and technology education, and cultural tourism. They included the establishment of friendly exchange relations between Yuyao City in Zhejiang and Errachidia, Morocco, and between Yinzhou District of Ningbo and the Canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, France. The "Ningbo Consensus on Collaborative Development" was also released, calling on cities to uphold openness and connectivity, deepen industrial collaboration, promote people-to-people ties, and work together to maintain the stability and smooth flow of industrial and supply chains.

Joachim Moyse, vice president of the Rouen Metropolitan Area and mayor of the Canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, France, said: "When the world makes it easy for people to lose hope, we must sit down together all the more and jointly build a framework for peace. Because peace is the great prerequisite for all cooperation." He also wanted to take a "gift" home from Ningbo: the city's broad vision of caring for all social strata and building the city around people's needs. Moyse said this is precisely the "Chinese experience" he wants to bring back to France and share with his compatriots.

Located in eastern Zhejiang, Ningbo is home to Ningbo-Zhoushan Port, the world's largest port. It is also an international gateway for openness and an advanced manufacturing base, long known by the saying, "Books preserve the past and present, and the port connects the world." The event features a seven-section exhibition, "Ningbo and the World: Global Chinese Culture with Overseas Ningbo Companies," showcasing Ningbo's achievements in promoting two-way economic and trade connectivity and people-to-people ties, with culture as the bond, enterprises as the mainstay and the port as the foundation. At the Night of Ningbo event, Ningbo's Siming Library and classic books selected by visitors are placed together in the Tianyi Pavilion, one of the world's three oldest family libraries, bearing witness to friendships between cities that span mountains and seas.
