Accelerating Local Market Footprint in Response to Institutional Demand; Advancing Cross-Chain Collaboration and Multi-Vault Infrastructure Exploration

HONG KONG, Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GoldZip today announced the launch of the "Hong Kong Digital Gold Expansion Initiative." While continuing to advance its footprint across different regions, GoldZip is prioritizing Hong Kong as its key growth focus at this stage, responding to rising market demand for digital gold trading and institutional applications. Together with its ecosystem development partner Midas Labs, GoldZip is advancing trading channels, settlement applications, and physical gold infrastructure.

Concurrently, GoldZip officially announced for the first time that its gold token, XGZ, is now live on EX.IO, a licensed virtual asset trading platform in Hong Kong, providing an additional local trading channel for eligible professional investors.

The listing on EX.IO establishes a licensed secondary market trading avenue for XGZ, allowing qualified professional investors to participate in digital gold trading via a compliant local platform (per EX.IO product disclosure). Through this listing, GoldZip aims to bridge domestic investment demand with physical bullion resources, while collaborating with Midas Labs to progressively expand institutional partnerships and functional use cases for digital gold.

On the evening of November 3, GoldZip and Midas Labs hosted an industry gathering and launch event at the Trading Hall of The Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX). The event featured The Honourable Mrs. Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee, GBM, GBS, JP, as the Guest of Honour, with Dr. Haywood Cheung, Chairman of HKGX, also in attendance. The event brought together executive representatives from EX.IO alongside leaders from the bullion, financial technology, and digital asset sectors to exchange insights on the integration and development of physical gold within digital finance.

Barry Ip, Director of GoldZip, stated:

"We have been actively exploring digital gold adoption across various markets, and Hong Kong is currently our priority focus. Our objective extends far beyond merely adding another trading venue; driven by market demand, we aim to combine HKGX's institutional bullion foundation, Midas Labs' ecosystem development capabilities, and our partner network to transform gold from simply an asset to 'hold' into one that is 'far more efficient to trade and apply.'"

Integrating International Partnerships to Expand Hong Kong's Digital Gold Ecosystem

On the technical and international partnership fronts, GoldZip has previously announced its collaboration with Midas Labs to advance Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) integration and participate in the launch rollout of CCIP 2.0, establishing the foundation to expand XGZ across multiple blockchain networks. Furthermore, GoldZip, Midas Labs, and Universal Digital Intl Limited (Universal)—the issuer of the UAE-based stablecoin USDU—have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore collaborative synergies between stablecoin ecosystems and the Asian digital gold market.

In the next phase, GoldZip is actively exploring multi-jurisdictional vault arrangements and related trading infrastructure alongside partners including Midas Labs, evaluating how to aggregate bullion resources across different locations to support trading demand in the Hong Kong market. These multi-vault arrangements remain in exploratory stages, and GoldZip will steadily scale the physical gold and digital asset application ecosystem in alignment with market needs and partnership milestones.

GoldZip Supports HKGX in Completing Tokenized Gold Settlement Pilot

Serving as the underlying asset for The Hong Kong Gold Exchange's (HKGX) tokenized gold transaction settlement pilot, XGZ supported the trial testing of gold trade settlement utilizing tokenized deposits. Actively participated in by member institutions of HKGX, the pilot achieved end-to-end operational verification of gold transactions settled via tokenized deposits, establishing a solid practical foundation for the digitized development of Delivery-versus-Payment (DvP) in gold trading.

The pilot demonstrates the tangible commercial value of tokenized gold by drastically compressing settlement times compared to conventional wholesale bullion trades. This model directly addresses operational bottlenecks for member dealers and refineries in physical spot delivery and cross-border trade settlement, significantly enhancing capital velocity and cross-institution liquidity across the precious metals industry.

About GoldZip

GoldZip is a digital gold project under the Hong Kong Gold Exchange (HKGX), leveraging HKGX's century-long foundation in bullion markets to connect traditional gold trading with digital asset networks. Each XGZ token is backed by one gram of 99.99% fine gold and provides contractual physical redemption rights in accordance with product terms. Ecosystem development partner Midas Labs builds institutional-grade Web3 infrastructure for the project, supporting continuous application development between physical bullion and digital rails.

Each customer gets an entire cluster reserved for it alone, built and operated by Flatkey as a compliant inference cloud for AI workloads only

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Flatkey Inc. (https://flatkey.ai) today launched Flatkey Compute, a NeoCloud that builds and operates dedicated NVIDIA B300 clusters for its customers. Every cluster is reserved for a single customer and shared with no one. Flatkey runs each cluster as a compliant, trusted inference cloud, and the company works only on AI, not general-purpose computing.

Why dedicated clusters

Most AI teams buy GPU capacity from general-purpose clouds, where many tenants share the same physical hardware. That works for experiments. Production inference is harder: latency has to be predictable, another tenant's workload can slow yours down, and regulated customers have to document who else has access to the machines.

A Flatkey Compute cluster removes those variables. The whole cluster belongs to one customer, so no other tenant's workload can affect its performance, and a security review has no co-tenants to account for.

Built and run by Flatkey

Ahead of today's launch, Flatkey has delivered compute capacity to dozens of major customers. It sizes each cluster to the customer's workload. GPU count, region and network topology are set per deployment instead of being picked from a list of standard instance types. Once the cluster is live, Flatkey operates it, so the customer does not need its own infrastructure team to run it.

A B300 inference cloud, for AI only

Clusters run on the NVIDIA B300 and are built for AI inference. Flatkey does not offer general-purpose computing, and it designs its infrastructure around AI workloads alone. On data protection, Flatkey is GDPR compliant, monitors its security controls continuously through Vanta, and does not retain request content.

Pricing and terms

Customers request capacity at https://flatkey.ai/compute, stating the GPU count, region and term they need. Flatkey replies within 24 hours, then sends a formal quote that sets the price, configuration, region and provisioning date. Reserved terms of one, three and five years are available, and longer commitments are priced lower. A reference GPU price index on the same page shows indicative rates before a customer gets in touch.

"Inference is moving from something teams experiment with to something their product depends on," said Hunter Guo, founder of Flatkey. "At that point, you don't want to be sharing a machine with strangers. You want your own cluster, you want to know where it is, and you want somebody to run it for you. That is what we are building."

Availability

Flatkey Compute is available now by request at https://flatkey.ai/compute. Smaller teams that need only a few GPUs can also rent them on demand, billed by the hour, in the Flatkey console at https://console.flatkey.ai/gpu-cluster.

About Flatkey
