近年來澳洲入籍考試備受爭議。一項調查顯示，在2018年順利入籍的澳人中，有超1200人曾經歷過3次失敗。

同年在85269名申請人中，有4807人未能通過考試。審計報告顯示，在過去4年裡，等待入籍申請獲批的人數猛增771％。截至2018年6月30日，共有244765人還在等待結果。

此外，澳洲政府還計劃出台新的法規，如果申請者3次考不過，那麼兩年內都不得參加入籍考試。

考試通過率極低，再加上移民部門批准處理速度慢，令越來越多的人質疑測試系統的有效性。

大馬女大生因搞錯登機時間錯過航班

早前，馬來西亞一名男子在FB發文表示，妹妹即將開學準備返學校，購買了從沙巴州城市山打根前往首都吉隆坡機票，怎料卻因一個失誤而錯過航班，損失了不少錢。機票寫著航班登機時間為01:15，其實24小時制的寫法，即凌晨01：15，但其妹妹卻誤認為是下午01：15，因此錯過的航班。

當地媒體引述男子莫哈末希沙姆的說法指出，其妹妹搭乘的是亞航，誤以為機票上面的寫法指的是下午1時15分，「我以為只有我妹妹錯過這架航班，但結果發現很多人也遇上同樣狀況。」
