NBA名宿高比拜仁（Kobe Bryant）與二女Gianna於美國時間1月26日因直升機失事逝世，意外震驚全球。據外國傳媒報指，高比的太太Vanessa在丈夫和女兒離世後情緒幾近崩潰，至今日（30日），Vanessa將社交網站的頭象轉成丈夫和女兒的合照，並分享一張全家福。

Vanessa還發長文悼念丈夫和女兒，她首先感謝大家在這段可怕的時間裏對於她們一家的關心，也感謝大家為她們的祈禱，「我們經歷了毀滅性的打擊，我失去了敬愛的丈夫，孩子們失去了慈愛的父親高比，還有我美麗的Gianna，一個可愛、體貼又美好的女兒，Natalia、Bianka、Capri了不起的姐妹。」
最後，Vanessa感謝網民的支持，但是她希望大家給予她們一家尊重和私隱去接受這個現實。此外，她更表示「Mamba Sports Foundation」設立了「MambaOnThree基金」，希能能幫助其他受這場悲慘影響的家庭。

My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately. There aren’t enough words to describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved. We were so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever. They were our beautiful blessings taken from us too soon. I’m not sure what our lives hold beyond today, and it’s impossible to imagine life without them. But we wake up each day, trying to keep pushing because Kobe, and our baby girl, Gigi, are shining on us to light the way. Our love for them is endless — and that’s to say, immeasurable. I just wish I could hug them, kiss them and bless them. Have them here with us, forever. Thank you for sharing your joy, your grief and your support with us. Vanessa坦言高比和Gianna的離開為她們帶來無法用言語的痛苦，亦不知道該如何繼續生活，但她會努力向前，丈夫和女兒會一直守護着她們，她們對高比和Gianna的愛同樣無止境。
