【雲上嶺南】Guangdong’s Precious Maritime Silk Road Cultural Relics can now be seen in a Special Stamp Form
廣東珍貴海上絲綢之路文物登上特種郵票
This tiny square inch of stamps often reflects the history, science and technology, economy, culture, local customs and natural landscapes of a country or region. For the four special stamps of Silk Road Cultural Relics (II), four precious cultural relics of the Maritime Silk Road have been selected, among which the fluted decoration silver box of the Han Dynasty is the representative cultural relic of the Maritime Silk Road unearthed in Guangdong, which is now stored in the Museum of the Nanyue King of Western Han Dynasty. Its shape, decorative design and craftsmanship, analogous to the gold and silver wares of the Persian Empire in West Asia, are quite different from those of the traditional Chinese style, and thus is considered to be an imported product.
