As autumn comes, farmers across China are reaping a bumper harvest of crops with the help of modern agriculture machinery.

During the golden autumn season, 64,300 mu (about 4,286.7 hectares) of rice fields in Qapqal Xibe Autonomous County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, have achieved a bountiful harvest. Farmers are in a race against time to reap rice with the help of harvesters. The harvest lasts until mid-October.

Located near the Ili River valley, the county boasts abundant water resources and ample sunlight, making it a primary region for high-quality rice production in Xinjiang.

At the same time, over 46,000 mu (about 3,066.7 hectares) of rice crops have entered the harvest season in Xiangdong District of Pingxiang, east China's Jiangxi Province.

Capitalizing on the clear weather, local authorities have swiftly organized large-scale mechanized harvesting. Agricultural machinery operators are shuttling back and forth in the rice fields. Additionally, local authorities have intensified efforts in agricultural social services to increase production and income for local villagers.

"This year, the weather has been particularly stable, with fewer pests and diseases, resulting in better yields than previous years," said Chen Jiangtao, a local farmer.

Moreover, Xiangdong also offers a series of preferential policies to support local enterprises in constructing the seed processing service center that integrates seed drying, selection, packaging, storage, and transportation services.

So far, in Zhumadian City, central China's Henan Province, 7.42 million mu (about 494,666.7 hectares) of autumn crops in fields have grown fully matured.

To improve efficiency, the local authorities will deploy a total of 920,000 sets of various agricultural machinery to ensure the harvest of autumn grain crops such as soybeans and corn.

In recent years, Hegang City in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has accelerated the construction of high-standard farmland, vigorously promoting the development of green, organic, and efficient modern agriculture.

"Our cooperative has managed a total area of around 27,000 mu (about 1,800 hectares) this year. We have utilized large-scale machinery operations, advanced seeding machine, and drones, all of which are the foundation for increasing production," said Yuan Chengguo, chairman of Shanjiang Modern Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative, Luobei County in Hegang.

This year, a total of 2.9 million mu (about 190,000 hectares) of corn has been planted in Hegang. Local autumn harvest is expected to last for 30 days.
