Low-altitude flights have become another option for people who travel within China's Yangtze River Delta during the Spring Festival travel rush.
After identification check, payment and safety knowledge learning, passengers can embark their journey back home from a helicopter flight base in Shanghai's Pudong New Area.
The hometown of Ms. Huang, a passenger, is in Kunshan City of east China's Jiangsu Province. The helicopter she took is designed with a highest speed of 231 kilometers per hour.
Heading north, the flight shortly arrived at Kunshan Terminal.
"In the past, I took coach or subway to go home, which was quite time-consuming, about two hours each trip. However, this helicopter trip, from boarding to landing, it only took me 30 minutes to arrive in Kunshan," said Huang.
As China's first cross-provincial low-altitude route, the line between Kunshan Terminal and Shanghai's Pudong has carried out 75 trips since its operation from August 2024, with a passenger load factor of 60 percent.
